Just one of the cheap chinese ones. It's mostly just a piece of metal, didn't need the special ones with aperture control.
If you have a few Pentax lenses, I'd say go for it. But if I could start over, I'd probably stick with Leica screwmount lenses. Much smaller flange distance, so it doesn't stick out so much from the camera, but LSM lenses are more expensive.
But now that the new firmware is coming out tomorrow, it will have focus peaking, so adapting will probably skyrocket. ---------- Post added 07-22-2013 at 07:31 PM ---------- $625 shipped paypal regular payment

It's a manual focus adapter. Focus is as good as you'd expect from any particular lens. It's a bit hard for me to figure out which lenses did which photos, since there is no exif data, but I'm 90% sure the following shots were done with the Pentax-M 50mm f1.7. Pentax 50mm - Imgur http://i.imgur.com/ohg8HLy.jpg
Some of the exif data might say 135mm but that's because in the Fuji menus you can change the focal length it reports when you put on an adapted lens, and I accidentally forgot to change it back to 50mm.

It's an amazing camera, best one I've ever used.
I'm just in a financial bind, and it's a bit of an expensive system to get into. Any autofocus lens will cost you at least $400. I paid $1000 for the body when it came out. I just really need the money.

135mm on crop is one of my least favorite FL's of all time. Which is funny, since I've owned 3 of them because of super cheap old manual focus options. It feels too long to be a portrait lens, and too wide to be a good telephoto. Even if I've never had a 100 or 200mm prime, I'd probably end up preferring them.

Reviving an old topic to see what people think. I have a Pentax K-r, and am considering a TC. The two lenses I would be using it on are the M 50mm f1.7, and a Tele-astranar 400mm f6.3. The 400mm is only decent, I expect quite a bit of IQ loss. But how would a cheap TC perform on an M lens? Am I better off cropping? I wanted to turn my 50 into a bit more of a tele portrait lens. Do TC's effect bokeh at all? I'm trying to find cheap 1.4's or 1.7's, but the majority are 2x's.

Anybody try the 50mm f1.7 with a TC? I'm thinking maybe that would be cheaper than buying a separate lens for a bit more tele length. I could also use it on my third party 400mm and get crazy far. XD

Pentax-DA 70mm f2.4 Limited Asking Price
$450 USD Item Location
Florida (United States) Item Description
Very nice condition 70mm f2.4 limited. My current favorite lens. I really don't want to sell it, but I need the money once again. Also, I've been playing with the idea of switching brands. I love Pentax so much, I just don't love that flange distance, since I'm considering mirrorless.
The lens is in perfect condition, except I have misplaced the lens cap. Comes with the extendable lens hood which has been on it most of the time, also the lens bag, and the original box. Bought from a member here last year.
No blemishes on the lens, works perfectly, never had a problem. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Pentax-DA 40mm f2.8 Pancake Asking Price
$300 USD Item Location
Florida (United States) Item Description
Very nice condition 40mm pancake. Bought it from Keh.com last year.
It has a strange circular mark on the front element. Not sure what it is. It has never once affected any photo I've taken. I'm selling it because I really need the money right now, and it's a bit of an awkward focal length. If I do fix my money situation soon, I think I'd rather get the Sigma 30mm f1.4, even if I do lose the awesome pancake feature.
Come with OEM cap/hood, and lens bag. No box though. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Never used a Q (i just lurk these forums to convince myself to buy one) but the K100D is an excellent camera. It's image quality is very close to my K-r, when using the same lenses. But as I said never used a Q, don't know quite how sharp their lenses are, but I don't see how the Q could stand up to the K100D in image quality (except when it comes to high ISO which the k100d is not great at).

Hmm interesting.....
Anyways, I ran into another problem last night while I was testing it. I had the flash on regular p-ttl on the hotshoe, nothing special going on. I put the camera in every perceivable mode, but no matter what I did, and how I changed the ISO, aperture, etc. The shutter speed would not change from 1/30, even when I was moving the camera around to different lighting situations. The only way I was able to change the shutter speed was to go to Tv, or Manual. Shouldn't the camera realize there is a flash on it, and change the shutter speed to something faster? :\

I'm also having trouble using this flash. I like aperture priority, but the same thing happens to me, where I can't use manual settings on the flash, while in Av, because half pressing the shutter changes the flash back to ttl.

Thanks for the pics of you holding it. I've only ever seen it by itself, so now I'm able to judge it's size. Now I must have one. *off to the wanted section*

I'm thinking of getting one for the same reasons as you. I've relegated photography to a hobby, and know I'd never really want to pursue a career in it. I want something I can carry along wherever I go and not worry about it. I'm not a big zoom lover either, and would probably just use a 15mm, the 40mm kit, and my 70mm. (Though I really wish Pentax would come out with a new compact telephoto limited, possibly 100mm or 135mm.
The only thing I'm worried about is the K-01 not being small enough. It looks pretty bulky in the video, it's a bit shorter, but I'd need to hold one in my hands before making a decision.

I'm interested, but not convinced just yet. Sure, I'd miss a viewfinder, and I do use the viewfinder on my K-r, but the only reason I use it is because it's faster that way. The k-r's viewfinder is useless for manual focus, and so the only thing I use it for is to frame the picture. Which I could do just as well with an LCD, while taking a hit in the battery dept.
So I don't mind the lack of a viewfinder. I love the idea of 720p 60fps video though. And the limited line of lenses are compact enough to be excellent companions to this K-01. I'd love to attach my 70mm and use it as a stealthy camera. But my main problem is the size. It's still fairly big. It looks like the same width and depth of my k-r. I'm not sure if I want to buy a new camera that won't fit in a pocket.
