Here's a before and after shot. The day was dark and dreary when I took the original. Even so, it's still somewhat under-exposed. I've been using Lightroom for a while and feel that I need to do something to 'improve' every picture I take.
Would it have been possible to get the 'perfect' exposure when I pressed the shutter?
Have I over-processed this shot, especially the sky or is this level of treatment justified?
Some people reckon you should only do a minimum of tweaking, such as levels or saturation.

What busy forums!
I'm just about to buy my first DSLR and after an agonising couple of months reading reviews I've decided to go for the K10D. One deciding factor was that I already own a very trusty K1000 that has given me many years of faithful service.
I had a look at the K10D on a recent visit to Germany and it feels just right; the ISO button on the top is a great idea!
Wondering now what lens to get. I don't really want to get a kit lens. Mostly to be used for landscapes, architecture and some portraits. Someone has suggested a Pentax 21 mm Limited. It's had pretty good reviews.
