It would definitely need a OVF and/or EVF but that was just a quick shopped photo of Q. :)
Good thing I'm not a design engineer for Pentax ;)

I would have probably opened up to your conversation but I wasn't sure what exactly you were asking, you went from blunt question to writing a book for a reply haha and the point you made of having a point and shoot that takes higher quality pictures is pretty much why I would want such a camera. I already have a DSLR and for me photography is a hobby and it's kind of over kill to lug around a large body to snap portraits and such. Oh and since I just shopped a photo of the Q it doesnt have a view finder and I would only want such a camera if it had a OVF.
Sadly I must admit you are probably right about the K-mount not working with a mirrorless compact...maybe the Fuji X-Pro1 will need to be the next camera if Pentax will never produce such :hmm:

Not to be rude but if you have to ask why then it's not what you need then...

Made this to show what I wish Pentax would release this year. Larger than Q, APS-C Mirrorless, interchangeable K-mount  |

I would love nothing more than to see a larger Q style camera that is K-mount and has a APS-C sensor!

I sure hope, if not now then at least, in the next year they put out a larger version of the Q with a APS-C Sensor and takes K-mount lenses or I'm jumping ship to Fuji :ugh:

To optimize the method it is supposed to be done with a longer lens such as >100mm @ say 2.8 but unfortunately 50mm is the longest lens I own so I just have to make do. Thanks for the comment.
