Since I already have a ton of FF glass, I will pick up a lens and body as soon as they are available.
I have waited too long for this to happen.
I will probably cry a little fan-girl tear when I finally hold the FF in my hands.
(I won't explain that if you don't understand)

Soooooooooooooooooo, here's my latest photo, featuring my wife and I ;) Attachment 257081
We spent over an hour actually setting everything up and then my wife spent a while making it into an actual movie poster lol. I'll post a full BTS in the next few days, I just wanted to share it as soon as possible (what? I'm excited :D ).

Tell your clients you are shooting with multiple systems and you always bring the gear that is the best suited for the light conditions on that specific day to make sure you will get the best out of it.
Then bring your Pentax gear :).
If they ask "Pentax!?", just tell them "Yes! For today, this camera, at this location and with this light will give me the best results and provide you with amazing image quality that you can cherish forever."

While experimenting on how to capture snowflake images, here's a variation of a method I found on the internet. I use a 2" to 2" rubber PVC connector with its hose clamps. This size connector fit an old Minolta 50mm lens I had lying around and it also fit snugly over the base on the lens on my MX-1. There's not enough material for the connector clamp to grab onto the MX-1, so even though it is snug you do have to hold it with your hand, otherwise the weight of the lens may cause it to fall. I extend the MX-1 lens to full zoom to maximize my magnification.
The image of your subject comes out within a black circle, but is easily cropped out. It didn't work as well for snowflakes as my K5 set-up, but I thought I'd pass along the method in case someone would like to experiment themselves. It's very inexpensive to try.

I guess I misunderstood the purpose of the thread. I thought it was simply a contest. Thanks so much for critiquing my entry and for the PP tutorial. I choose not to comment on yours.

Stagnant, the AR of your test image is 2.16:1. This indicates you've already cropped the original image. Can you please indicate whether this is a 100% crop, or what percentage of the original frame you cropped off the H & W of the original frame? When discussing the visibility of noise, the proportion of the frame used and any resizing is important.
See what I mean here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/172-pentax-k-3/242969-sports-images-k-3-a-3.html#post2710908
BTW, any APS-C at ISO12800, unless resized to a quite small size, is going to look poor without drastic invention. ISO12800 is due purely to digital gain. (Analogue gain is not used at high ISOs because image shot noise at this level is, by far, the dominant noise source.) Compared to ISO100, you are using 128x gain. This means individual sensels have collected only 1/128th of the photo-electrons for the same rendering brightness level (e.g. the exposure was 7 stops lower due to the weak scene luminance level, requiring 7 stops more digital gain to produce the same image rendering brightness level) . So if a sensel holds 30,000 photo-electrons at FWC (usually defined as the 3% non-linearity point - November ) at ISO100, at ISO12800 that sensel will only be able to hold approx. 238 photo-electrons before the ADC clips.
Photonic shot noise (an intrinsic property of light and other forms of radiation) is the square-root of the number of photo-electrons. And the wanted-signal-to-shot-noise ratio is also the sq-root of the number of photo-electons. This means that, compared to ISO100, ISO12800 will have an 11.3x worse SNR (sq-root of 1:128), e.g. 173:1 (at ISO100; sq-root of 30,000) vs 15.4:1 (at ISO12800; sq-root of 238).

I have to strongly disagree with you on this one. Ultra wide angle lenses for APS-C are by far the worst class of lens (IQ-wise) on DSLRs.
I carefully studied the DA12-24 (and the competition) before deciding on the DA15. The DA12-24 images just never did it for me. But after reading your comment, I decided I should take a look at it again on the PPG. Still the same conclusion.
And while the DA10-17 images are not truly sharp if you're pixel-peeping, it creates nice photos. I think the color rendering is better than the DA12-24.
But while the some of the specific choices above may be largely a matter of personal preference, I don't know how you can call the weakest class of lenses "all pretty good." Unless you mean it as in "the NBA Atlantic Division is pretty good!?"
There are some great wide angle lenses. The Nikon 14-24 and Sony Zeiss 16-35 are two of them. The DA15 might be great. And the Sigma 8-16 and Tokina 11-16 (not available in K-mount, unfortunately) come close. Even the DA10-17 and Samyangs have their place. But the others fall short, especially the 10-20/22/24 lenses from Sigma, Canon, and Tamron. And you keep finding even more mediocre lenses as you keep looking.

My husband had several health problems last January, including a bout with renal failure (dialysis, etc.) and a mild stroke. I've always been good about appreciating the blessings that I have, but that drove it even deeper. Cherishing the people that you love and the experiences of your life are far, far more important than the stuff.

I suspect that the K-3 seals might be interested in the herring as well, them being seals and all. In which case they would surely fail and that is good reason to deny Hocir and not buy a K-3.

According to the Castle Doctrine, people should beware of a single grumpy old person whose fruit is being pilfered from the very tree branch under which it hangs. There's a reason it isn't an H&K3.
