Overclockers have a WTB section and people list gear that they have and get suggestions as to what it is currently worth - but you have to be a member there for 90 days before you get access to the trading rooms. However, not much Pentax gear sells there - more Canikon.

I have two generic batteries for the K-5 and one doesn't really fit the charger and therefore take a charge (a mega cheapie from China) and another that was approx half the price of the branded Pentax battery that is as good as the battery that came with the camera (still originated in China). So like a previous poster said - very hit and miss.

What is your budget eware? That is the crucial bit to me. I see you don't have much at the shorter end and the Tamron, Sigma or Pentax 17ish-50s would all fit this bill - but what about investing in a great portrait lens that will serve you well for the next 20 years? If I understand you correctly you are expecting a child?? soon. I would pull out all stops and invest in a Pentax 50-135. It will take beautiful portraits of your children for years and years to come and you wont be dissapointed particularly teamed with the K-5 - you will love the combination!
Good luck with the life event!

I agree there is no "perfect bag". I have a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home - a Bagman ripoff 5 Million Dollar Home, a Kata Backpack and a Lowepro Backpack. Different bags for taking different amounts of gear with different amounts of walking involved - but I really should get rid of the Lowepro bag - just too small now. However, I did come into say that Crumpler gear is really good quality and you wont be dissapointed - just need to see a review - and see how much gear will fit!

Not sure about Cairns but lots of photo ops in Sydney from the very much photographed harbour, Opera House, Harbour Bridge(particularly at night), beaches and coastline and out to the Blue Mountains. Would need a car for some of it though.
Have a great trip.

You might also get hit with the Customs charge (if in Aus) if you are really unlucky!

We also own DVDs of the Sopranos - good to watch late at night when and only when the kids are tucked up in bed. Also own a few series of the The West Wing.
Anthony Bourdain is also a favourite as is Bear Grills - if only to see how many stupid things he can do in the one show!

This - although it is a tad on the heavy side when using it for any length of time. The other would be the Sigma 50 1.4. I really would like to team it with a FA 77mm but one thing at a time!

Adrian - I also contacted CR Kennedy - they said they don't price match - it seems very hit and miss as to who contacts them and as to what response you get. They suggested I go to DCW.
Cheers
