Hi guys.
I own a k20 plus lots of manual focus lenses. I have been toying with upgrading to a k5 for approx. 1 year .with cashflow a bit low at mo I have toyed with selling some glass to fund upgrade.
one thing that's nagging me is do I really need a f1.2 lens anymore once I buy a k5 body.
will a k5/f1.4 combination outshoot a k20/f1.2 hands down..as I see it I can maybe liberate £200 to invest in body upgrade just by selling one lens.

hope pics load, first pic is original minolta fit mount which has m/xg on it.Just four screws removed, lift out. Then found out a old m42 -pk mount the cheap ones that dont work at infinity anyway and drilled and fitted .and it looks as if focal length is about correct as it will focus beyond infinity, and was managing to focus inside the lounge with x2 converter fitted(1000mm).so i,m impressed. I am not very skilled at this kind of thing, but even i could manage this and luck would have it its worked.must be a few of these md mirrors sitting unused, maybe will give them new lease of life.Out of curiosity does anyone know if this mount fits sony dslrs.

if you can get your hands on a tokina 500mm mirror lens then converting it to pk could not be simpler, and its reversible, simply unscrew chromed mount, and fit cheap m42-pk mount(£3),just four drill holes..being a fixed f8.its very easy and good quality morror for cheap, can only speak for md fit that cost me about £40.works a treat.:p

just done my first conversion after reading up on others, mine has to have been the simplist in history....lense tokina 500mm mirror.simply removed chromed md mount and fitted cheap chinese m42-pk(£3) mount...4 tiny drill hole and voila, focus to infinity ,dark when i finished but first shot of towers in madrid thre miles away with a tele converter fitted(1000mm) were best i've had so far,so looks promising.cant wait for morning to get some good light.
