What lens do you use most often with the K-01 ?

I'll second this opinion. The DFA100mm is so stealthy and nimble--a pleasure to use with or without mirror.
I have also used the K-01 quite succesfully with the DFA100mm + F 1.7AF TC combination. Sweet!

My favorite K-01 pairing is with the DA 35mm f/2.8 Macro

Just a quick note (incase anyone is still waiting for their Henry's order) that I received my GXR S10Kit + 28mm Unit today 22March13
I had ordered on Sunday March 10th, and got my shipped notice on the 19th...
A little patience paid off--just finished the firmware update to the body and both units...hope to go out tomorrow and shoot the thing. Feels quite solid...I think I'm going to have lots of fun with this one.

Cheers, W

The FA 50mm macro doesn't seem to be on the list yet. These images were coupled to a Fotodiox PK(AF)-P/Q adapter; handheld.

Thanks ruggiex for commenting on the 35mm Ltd macro...it's a winning pairing.
I just recently became a Q owner, and really the main reason for buying the Q was it's macro possibilities. Must say that the wide-angle macros are a pleasant surprise...The first macro lens I attached to my new Q was a 28mm auto sears macro with very good results. A joy to shoot this little Q.

Photomicrography (or just regular microscopy) also uses auxiliary lenses that increase focal length (such as a 0.7x). The result in stereo microscopy, beyond the primary function as a focal length reducer--is often a "speed" boost-- only in the sense that with a longer working distance from your main objective to your subject you often need less light to resolve the same image.

Levon will be missed, he was an adult portion.

Limbaugh: Contraception advocate should post online sex videos

Yes, it's an invalid attempt at equating separate issues and therefore confounding the issue at-hand via misdirection. In my day it was called "smoke and mirrors."

The obvious difference is that Maher is a comedian (the extremest kind-- a political comedian)--and as such, this kind of satirical commentary is well established to be biting and often savage (from Will Rogers through H.L. Mencken, Mort Sahl, Mark Russell, and now John Stewart). All around the world comedians are most effective at identifying political mishaps, especially in Countries where political discourse is controlled--all this due to the nature of comedy. Maher's comments linked here are clearly stated within the context of this comedic schtick. Hard to see it any other way.

Vs. Rush Limbaugh who is not a comedian, and was clearly not performing a comedy routine while he made his remarks.

I think this bruhaha has more to do with Religious conservatives targeting Maher for his movie Religulous (which I highly recommend, by the way). I'm surprised conservatives haven't come at Maher even harder.

The other obvious problem is that Super PACs are set-up to insulate a candidate from the money incoming. Until you change the laws on Super PACs--a candidate would actually be in violation if he/she communicated to the Super PAC what to do with any said money.

So the entire argument vis-a-vis Maher and Super PAC money is a red herring (presumably aimed at taking the heat off Limbaugh).

Actually I think all super PACs should be made illegal, and every cent given to any candidate by any super PAC should be returned by that candidate.

I also believe corporations are not individuals--and freedom of speech should not be used as cover for "entities" who can disproportionately afford to gain influence over government.

Also, all the free advertising that candidates receive from broadcasters such as Fox news should be paid by those candidates. Fox news is essentially a propaganda channel for the Republican party and so the Republican party should pay at Fox news market value for every minute of commercial time they get (so-far for free).

Every University in the US (including religiously affiliated ones) charges for student healthcare as a fee along with tuition--so no, it's not free--in fact it's very expensive--and it's not paid for by anyone else except that individual student. The only people who could possibly not know this--are folks who have never attended a University.

Healthcare should never be tied to someone elses' (i.e. employer) philosophy (religious or otherwise). It's the individual being covered that is getting the service that they paid for. After all, an employer may semantically "pay" for part or all of a workers health premium--but the reality is that that payment is part and parcel of that employees compensation. It is always the employee that in reality is paying for their own healthcare no matter how it is accounted for.

If you get paid for a photography gig--let's say any amount, 5K for example--would it be natural and normal for your employer (the person who hired you to take photos) to dictate what you can spend your 5K that you earned on? I think not.

Pentax K-01 vs Fuji X-Pro 1 vs Olympus OM-D

I think you'd be in more sustainable waters with your thesis without the "pre-order" sales component.

From a strict statistician (read: anal retentive) standpoint, there are many other variables that might be confounding--to some degree "pre-order" sale comparisons. Again, I don't see the people buying an $800 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera on a "pre-order" basis necessarily being statistically comparable to people buying on a "pre-order" basis" a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera above $1600.

What is my train of reasoning? Well, I think anyone who is willing to spend "pre-order" above $1600 probably already owns another interchangeable lens camera (system). It seems to me that that a "pr-order" of >$1600 strongly insinuates someone who is not a first time buyer. That and the pricepoint is not unknown to that person--they have spent this amount and more before on a camera.

Beyond that, I imagine such a person already has a system (pure conjecture on my part--I admit). This explains why buying a camera such as the X-Pro 1 with apparently no legacy glass is a missunderstanding of that person. Such a person does not need many Fuji lenses because he/she already has many of their needs covered in their primary system kit. They don't need for Fujinon to offer 85mm f/1.2L or 24-70mm 2.8L lenses for the X-Pro 1 because they already have those lenses. The apparent lack of lenses is more understandable as not really a factor once you understand who would be "pre-ordering" such a camera.

I see the X-Pro 1 as a secondary camera that fills a need...probably portability. Can't tell you how many Canikons complain to me constantly about their backs and their huge kit bags. This is their travel or messing-around-town kit.

So why wouldn't a comparison to X-01 "pre-orders" be statistically justifiable you might ask? Well consider who might pre-order that camera...probably someone who has not tasted the interchangeable lens system waters yet. You might say, a first time buyer. First time buyers may not necessarily "pre-order" a camera the same way a person looking for a secondary system might.

It's just a thought on "pre-order sales numbers", if you do away with the "pre-order" fixation--that would make a difference in your logic.

But I think there is more here than meets the eye. You could just as well ask why would someone buy X-Pro 1 (not on a pre-order basis--just a normal purchase once it's out) vs. any Nikon/Canon/Sony/Pentax/Olympus etc. model camera. The reality is that the myriad of answers are complex (and probably only relevant between each pair compared). Half year from now the answer could change (for each pair), even if you could get an answer now. Canon is top dog--so they must know the secret...ask them.
