Thank you fellow shooters. I must confess that I wish I had manipulated the shot so that it would have vibrant colors, but luckily it seems to work this way too. Thanks again:)

Hi. I took this one years ago with my still working k20d. I shot it at my sister's and her husband's garden where I had a little time to shoot it. Sorry for the missing photo info. I have so many photos that finding the original and checking the info from there would take hours.

Thanks for the tips. I cropped it from all sides. I got only Gimp which is good for it's price. I have the raw somewhere but I have too many photos so it's hard to find. I don't have too much time or patience with photo editing so I think I leave it like it is. Leningrad photo I took at a
air show where the Leningrad Cowboys performed.

Hi!
I've been busy doing other things than photograph for a couple of years. Took this one a while ago.
I've always had problems with photo retouching and cropping so I could use some ideas here how to improve the photo.

Hey, thanks guys for the C&C. I agree the cropping was a bit hasty done, I'll fix it later.

I agree. The signs distract a bit but overall a very nice photo.

I took this photo when I was shooting at the bay. I was sitting on the ground and the birds were brave enough to get enough close for me to take some pictures. |

Thanks for your comments guys:) I agree with the bud thing. I guess I was bit lazy to leave it there.

The model looks very nice and shot from a good angle imo. I'm not crazy about the split head, I'd prefer more of her head to be in the photo. Otherwise it's good I believe.

I took this photo with my macro lens but I didn't use a tripod so I had to sharpen it and the aperture (if I remember correctly it was about 8 cause I wanted a 'bit' blurry background, I didn't find the original file which has all the info on iso and so on, probably on my desktop that is elsewhere atm) was too big it seems and hence too little dof. I really need more practice using the macro lens.
Anyway there it is. Any tips and critique appreciated as I would like to get better in macro work. To me the flower stems look a bit like sugar candy canes so the name came from there. |

I've had the K20d for nearly 2 years now and before that I used a Canon P&S for a couple of months. I mainly do nature photography with my da 55-300 and Tamron 90mm. I hope I'm able to improve my photography so partially for that reason I joined this forum in hope of some constructive c&c etc.
