Thanks guys, and yes the battery seems to be the problem and the answer.
And yes the lever had nothing to do with the mirror, I use this camera so seldom I mistakenly thought it was the mirror up lever :-(

After some time I took my Pentax 645 to shoot some B&W's. But I found a problem. For some reason the mirror is stuck in the up-position and won't come down. The lever in the side does not do anything. Any idea what might be wrong, and what to try? I don't remember any issues after the last time I used this camera.
I may have to old batteries, but at the moment don't have new ones available. But batteries should not be an issue here, right?

Good to hear there still is private craftsmen around!
Your repair guy must be a lot more skilful than the whole German Pentax Service together, where I took my totally not working SDM 16-50mm last year. All I got from them (apart from the four weeks light-treatment), was a four word statement "could not see the problem".

This is exactly what I was thinking. However, I ended up selling world wide, because in my scenario selling iteratively in widening circles seemed not to be easier :)

Here is some proof for the Sigma 100-300mm. I used this lens with K10D, always with a grinning face because it is so good. It is sad it is discontinued now.
Pentax version does not have HSM, works nicely with a 1.4X TC, but you better do manual focus if you go with 2X TX.
These are 300mm (without a TC), both cropped to some degree: |

Thanks for this report, Tommot1965! 70-200 II is on my shopping list too, and I had wondered if it would be sensible to add a longer than 1.4X TC to it. Looks like it works fine!

I am along the same lines here, I simply love the quality and responsiveness of my Nikon gear (only have the D700 and 24-70 at the moment, planning to buy some primes), although I never tried newer Pentax than my stolen K10D. Larger playground with DOF is also something I am learning to love more each day.

Thanks for asking, Tamron is in good shape, you can tell it is been used, but there are no scratches, no fungus, no functional faults.
I can see few tiny dust particles inside the lens, but they don't have any effect to images. I think this is normal in this kind of extending lens? Never gave a thought to this till you asked.
Zoom has a tendency to creep when pointed downwards, which is normal, and it has has a lock to prevent that, see the images. Extension barrels are tight and stable. |

Tamron 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 IF MACRO
Price 200 euro SOLD
Shipping 20/16/10 euro (World/EU/Finland)
In very good condition, great all-purpose lens. No original packaging, included is the lens, both caps and the hood.
Please see the images of and taken with this lens at: Picasa Web Albums - gawan - salestuff
-------------------- Porst 55mm f1.2
Price 40 euro SOLD
Shipping 20/16/10 euro (World/EU/Finland)
This is good working lens, has clean optical surfaces, but also has issues: - there is a little particle inside the lens, on the edge (see the images), but I have not noticed any effect to images and I mostly used this lens wide open.
- the aperture blades have white something on some blades, looks to me like common weariness (not sure about the proper term, see the images)
- ADDED: This lens is fully manual, so aperture works with the green button. I used it with f1.2 mainly, because metering with smaller apertures was so unpredictable. Also the focus ring is not totally smooth, has a slight stickiness it its movement.

Hi
I see that some sales in Marketplace have been limited to certain country or geographical area (e.g CONUS, mostly).
My question is would you consider it be a fare practice to first try selling an item in my own country (Finland), then if unsuccessful to widen it after a certain period of time to wider area, say EU and then maybe if needed world wide. All this would be properly explained and time lines set of course.

Sorry I missed your first post. The adapters in the camera side are different. Maybe it goes with K7 (then also K5 I guess), but then K7 should have the square adapter to connect, not just the round standard plug?

Thanks, I seem to have that D-AC50, so it is for K10D/K20D only.
