Check out my custom made bracket

It's been a while since i posted here. Ive been really busy. I just recently made a flash bracket for my k10d stealing some parts from my stoboframe camera flip.

I got tired of taking the grip off my camera every time i wanted to use the bracket. The camera flip wont go to vertical position with the grip and cord on. so i had my father in law make a copy of the handle of the stroboframe but i added about 2 inches. As you can see in the pics i can use it with the grip and still have room to use the ttl cord and even use the built in flash for wireless. Im thinking that with the wireless set up i can use my built in as a fill flash while my af360 bounces.

Of course as you can tell i used the camera flip from the stroboframe. works Great!

My 360 is currently being repaired so i used an old promaster in these pics. Thanks for looking!

Im just getting a chance to get back at it. sorry it took so long.

To start with, im not worried about the scanner. Its a canon all in one deal but i dont use it to print photos.

I got the hp for $4 at a thrift and figured id give it a try. I managed to get a little better pictures after playing with it for a while but they still arent good enough.

Yeah i just noticed that i had that paper turned the wrong way to print. Thanks for pointing that out.

As far as calibration goes. I use the pantone huey for my monitor. There is an option for calibrating the printer on the printer software but seems to be pretty shotty.

Heres the last pic i printed. If you look past the grain and just look at the colors. you can see the difference. Below the scanned in pic will be the original.

It actually almost looks like to much contrast.

Scanning the pic in is just to show the colors.

ive got a fa 50mm on the way. I was wondering if it would be worth investing in a teleconverter for it. I was thinkin it would be great for night time football. I would just need a little more reach. Anyone have any experience with it?

Also which one would you recommend? Id prefer one that is fully auto. Thanks

Question about program plus

Im looking at getting a program plus from ebay.

The seller put this in the description.

"the film advance lever will not advance (it goes a little way & stops..) I do not know if this camera requires a battery to function or not (maybe to complete the shutter release ? )...."

Does this camera need a battery for film advance or not.

I used to have one. It was my first camera and i ended up pawning it and i regret it now. Thats why im interested in getting another one. I just dont remember exactly how it worked. Thanks

I just got a pz-1 from a guy on craigslist. He said its been sitting in a box for a while with no body cap. When he gave it to me it didnt have a battery. I just put a battery in it and put a lens on it and went to take a shot with no film and the mirrow locked up on me. The shutter is closed but the mirror is locked up. when i press the shutter button it just make a noise like a motor. it even tries to focus. It will fire flash and all but the shutter doesnt move and of course the mirror wont do anything. The film doesnt advance when i do this either. Am i missing something?

I did some editing on some pix using photoshop. I then went back and looked at them on windows fax and picture viewer. I noticed a difference in color. So i put the 2 side by side on the same monitor and i can see a big difference between the 2. The two being windows picture viewer and photoshop. Anyone got some advice on this? Thanks

I shot a festival in my hometown for a guy who does a magazine for the festival every year. This was my 3rd time shooting for him but my first time shooting for him with my pentax. He was impressed by my camera with 18-250 and grip. Then when i gave him the cd of the photos he wanted....he was very impressed.

Anyway here are some pics of the cookoff winner while he was opening a bottle of champagne. He didnt like the first little spray he got so he shook it up more. You shouldve seen everyone backing up worrying about their cameras. I didnt back up because i knew, to put it simply, i had a pentax.

I just got my k10d and grip. I love it so far. I just have one question for now.

I only have one battery for now and i chose to put it in my grip. I turned the camera on and it said the battery was dead. The battery icon blinked until i switch it off. but when i put the battery in my camera it shows that its full.

Any ideas? Tips, hints? Thanks

Im trying to get the af360 to work as a slave for my k110d. I know it wont work wirelessly via control like that k10d. But shouldnt it trigger the slave sensor by sensing the light from the built in flash? What settings should it be on?
