Thanks for all the feedback everyone.
I thought I had everything removed from Lightroom, and even removed the Plug-in for the watermark, but when I had a second look I still had the copyright watermark ticked.
Thanks again for your help

I have entered my Name into the Copyright field on the camera. In the past this just appeared in the EXIF data, however now, if I adjust a photo in Lightroom and export the photo back to my folders, my name appears in the bottom left hand corner. This makes sense I suppose, but I have never had this happen before and I don't want it to appear on every photo I post-produce.
Does anyone know how to stop this appearing on edited photos?

I am not sure what this machine was used for, but it and lots of other relics have been left to the elements in an old pipemaking factory.

Actually, thinking about this comment; for example, if the competition theme was 'portaits' I don't think it would matter if the subject was a relation of the photographer or not. In fact sometimes the 'relationship' the subject has with the photographer can be what makes a portrait brilliant, so I guess if it were the child of a photographer this could be an advantage.
Also, I know a lot of photos I have taken that I think are terrific, is not necessarily shared by others - no matter what the subject of the photo is! - it's entirely personal.

Some superb shots again I see. I love looking at them, it inspires me.
However when I first go into submit my vote it shows the photos separately with details of user names etc., it usually doesn't show this until after voting has closed??

Can you have B&W with some subtle brown tones extracted?

A very foggy morning down at the park, the fog tends to settle on the river that runs through the park.

Taken in the garden at home, March 2011.
I think that is what spring is all about, New Life. Even though in Melbourne, Australia, where the photo was taken, it is the start of Autumn (Fall)! :)

Sparrow was stranded on our deck for 2 days and could not fly well enough to get up to the trees. Finally its mum and dad (seen feeding) found it and eventually coaxed it to fly to freedom.

It's a nice shot, but maybe you could have moved very close to the boat and used that as a foreground object to create a little more impact, with the lighthouse, in sharp focus also, in the background.

With the first shot, I would probably try to get down lower and have the rice a feature in the foreground, with a large DOF, and less sky - with the huts filling the upper frame. However it's hard to know if this would work well without actually trying it!

I am new to the forum. I am a mother of 3 teenagers, 20, 18 and 15 years old. I used to have an old film Pentax MZ-10, but with the introduction of digital I would have loved a DSLR but could not afford it, so I bought a Minolta Dimage Z1. It was a great little compact camera and I have some great photos from it, but it was getting old and worn out. I have just bought a Pentax K-7. I did look around at other brands, mainly a Nikon D90, and tried both (borrowed the Nikon from a friend) and liked the K-7 better, and also had a couple of lenses from the MZ-10, especially the 50 mm 1.7, which is a great lens.
Hoping to find more time to get back into taking some great shots. :D
