I too like it simple. Have a French Press for an afternoon cup but mornings are Costco French roast from a Cusinart Classic brewer.

About 28 years ago a friend and I were scouting a suitable hunting area in south eastern Arizona, we found a likely spot and got out of the Landcruiser to look around. All of a sudden two Javelina came over a hill and charged us. We ran back to the vehicle and jumped on the hood. Just in time too! They were snorting , clicking their teeth and stomping their feet within inches of us. I took some great close-up shots with my K1000. Took the film to Walgreens to have it processed but when it came time to pick it up they said it got lost and offered me a new roll of film. A few years later I saw my photos in an outdoor magazine.

2019 Subaru Forester. Perfect for me. Bought for the safety features but have been pleasantly pleased with the enhancements over the 2015 model I traded in. No negatives so far.

I have the 16-45 and use it primarily out doors. I also have the Tamron 17-50 which replaced my Sigma 17-50 which was "wonky" out of the box. Aparently I got a good one. I lke the 2.8 which has served me well.:D:D:D

Ever wonder that whenever you see a high level engineer/scientist/economist/graphic artist/etc. in TV or magazine article, they're using a Mac? I used to build my own too, along with sound systems and a lot of other stuff. I've since come to the conclusion that I'd rather pay for the expertise of subject matter experts designing a quality instrument. The ignorant will always come up with nonsensical arguments that they can build a cobbled together machine that equals a store bought item. I refuse to have one on my desk.

1st a little background, started out with the K10, then K20, K7, K5, now K3 so not only has the K series evolved but I have too! It came in late yesterday afternoon and after putting in a new freshly charged aftermarket battery and two PNY 32GB Elite Performance SD cards, I performed the preliminary set up. First thing was it is noticeably heftier. The back LCD is brighter and crisper than previous models. The viewfinder besides having a bigger image was likewise brighter and I don't see any spots. The menu seems to have a better layout and controls are more handy. Having read of some of the problems others were having I tried installing only one SD card, switching cards, etc. but could not produce the lock up another poster experienced. The level indicator is spot on. Next I tried several different lenses, zoom and Limiteds, under different conditions for focus speed and operation. All seemed to have a snappier, quicker response focusing when compared to my K5. Mirror action is quieter. Love the new auto-focus points. Using my 17-50 Tammy, the pop-up flash worked flawlessly. My shooting was done to test the mechanics of the camera. While I reviewed the images and all were satisfactory I'm not going to post them now as there was nothing remarkable. Other than the initial settings I left everything in default and will post images after I get a chance to reread the owners manual and do a proper setup. I usually wait 6 months before getting a new model but I am extremely happy to have purchased this camera. :D:D:D

Got my K5 about 3 weeks ago and as of last night tried it under all kinds of lighting conditions. No focus issues with any of my lenses, no softness issues either.

To all those folks who talk about the notorious CA and PF of the Tamron 70-300 Di-II, Please show me. I've posted images which were taken with my version under the supposed conditions which it occurs with no observable CA and PF and no PP.
