I have 3 Hahnel batteries and 2 D-LI90 for K-1 and honestly I can't tell which one I was using in the end of the day.

The Blairsville Pennsylvania Cemetery has flown hundreds of donated US Service Members memorial flags for over twenty years. Each flag was donated by a deceased service members family.

Sunset (DA 15 limited/pixel shift)

Sunset by Vincent1825, on Flickr

This shot is on a K-1. It probably crops about 1/3 of the image -- definitely not a full frame lens, but a little more than APS-C for sure.

A very cool shot. The definition is very sharp and the clover provides the scale. Well done.

Longer Telephoto Lens for the K-1

I use the DA 300mm on my K-1. While its a bit short for bird photography, its great for general wildlife photography. I had a Sigma 170-500mm which was quite light for a 500mm zoom, but the image quality was very inconsistent. Not sure if it was my technique, the SR being pushed at that long focal length, the lens being used, or just the slow aperture at the long end giving too long of shutter speeds. It was better from 400mm and lower.

i use the DA* 300 with my K-1 for landscapes when I need reach for somewhat distant mountains. It frequently allows me to frame the scene just as I want it. It is an excellent lens although I do not have experience with the other 300s mentioned to make comparisons.

Have you checked the reviews on this website, for the lenses you’ve mentioned (and others)? They’re subjective, of course, but the range of views should give you a fair idea of the relative capabilities of those lenses.

I have thought about the D FA150-450, mainly because of the samples on here, and the user comments, and the fact that my longest non-mirror lens is an elderly (but still good) A450/5.6. I’ve hesitated only because the F*300/4.5 that I have is so nice to use (everything you’d expect from a *-lens, and the lightest of the AF Pentax 300s).

Welcome to the forum. I use the K1 with the DFA 28-105. It is a great combination and I highly recommend it.

I got my 28-105 yesterday and I'm already impressed. I don't think there are much better walkaround zooms out there.

The DFA 28-105 is a fantastic kit lens for the K-1. Despite owning a lot of premium glass, it remains one of my most-used lenses. For what it's worth, I also find the focal range to be useful on a crop body.

It is totally worth it :)

Second the 28-105, it's relatively cheap second hand because it's sometimes sold as a kit lens, and overall good quality and performance, unmatched for size and weight and price.
