Being present is great. Getting a good image often depends on the light, the composition, or the action at a particular moment. I get the photo as quickly as possible, I find that I am present as I act.

You might want to moderate the color saturation of your images.

I can't find warranty info. They write: contact the seller.
Of course, the seller is Amazon.

Color saturation is the one area where my A50/2.8 does not shine, but with digital processing that matters little.

I am very impressed with my A50/2.8. It's likely the sharpest lens for Pentax I have. The lens is well-built. I use it with a gutted 2x tele-convertor when I want more magnification. It's the 50mm I use unless I want shallow DoF.

For me, it's a compelling scene that gets my photographic passions going. Many photogs are able to make great images of whatever is around, but I've not gotten there yet. You can check out my landscapes here: TOM CIVILETTI?s albums | Flickr

Composition aside & no pixel-peeping, which of these do you prefer; technically...

Set 2: #1 is technically the best. The blur of #2 may be an artistic improvement, though.

---------- Post added 06-19-19 at 05:31 PM ----------

Set 3: all have problems. #1 is best in the foreground, but the sky is more overexposed and too green. #2 is too yellow. #3 is too blue.

#1 - more detail in shadows and good color balance.

I was quite disappointed with my landscape work for a few years. The process takes time with mere humans. It's helpful to shoot when the sun is low, as that increases modeling and atmospherics.

Good landscape photography requires competent technique and the ability to see photographically. Great landscape photography requires seeing photographically in your own way.

A long lens will also cause less spatial distortion, as the edges of the artwork will be approximately the same distance from the lens optical center as the center of the artwork.

I carried a 55mm, 90mm, and 165mm with the 6X7. A 45mm later replaced the 55mm. 165mm is not very long on that format.

Use manual focus. Set the lens for the distance you want to your subject and expose when the fireflies at close to that distance.

Of course B&H would not claim it is moving to screw workers. As with most disputes, both sides try to make themselves look good.

Support B&H workers

B&H Photo workers in Brooklyn faced horrific safety conditions for years. They fought back, organized for over a year, and overwhelmingly voted to form a union with United Steelworkers in November 2015 -- with crucial support from B&H Photo costumers -- thousands from the photo, video, art, music, and labor communities.

Now the company threatens to relocate almost 330 jobs 75 miles away, making it impossible for the workers to commute to work.

Moving hundreds of jobs away from New York City is a betrayal to working families, New Yorkers, and the workers who courageously fought to be treated with respect and dignity. And that ain't right!

Resolution testing of the FA50/2.8 showed the highest scores at f8. It surprises me that the current version would peak two stops earlier.

I have used a Nikkor 105 enlarging lens with a mount cemented to a 6X7 body cap mounted on a 6X7 helicoid extension tube. You will need to stop down manually.

Pentax A 24mm 2.8 vs Sigma 24mm 2.8

There was a shootout online the compared 24mm lens converted to use on Canon. The Sigma made it farther than the Pentax. I have one of the manual focus Sigma's 24/2.8. It is a decent lens. The color is different than Pentax, but that can be tweaked in PP.
