I am shooting the K3 ii in Manual , and want bracket shots by only changing the shutter speed. Currently it is changing both shutter speed and aperture. Can't seem to figure this out.

Thanks

Hey folks,

I am wanting to shoot using the built in interval function, but also use the mirror lock to avoid shake. Can this be done or are there any other solutions?

Thanks

Richard

I will be shooting the eclipse from somewhere in Nebraska using my K3 ii. I am wondering if the Atrotracer feature in the K3 ii would help? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Richard

jatrax. I use a Sigma 18-50 2.8 and Tamron 70-200 2.8. I was under the impression these lenses would work on either. Is that not the case?

I am ready for an upgrade from my K-x. Though it has served me very well and still works great, I am to the point of needing (wanting) more than 12MP. So far I have been mostly shooting landscape with a few portrait sessions under my belt. For my portrait sessions I use speed light, constant light, as well as natural light both indoor and outdoor. My question is should I go with the KP or take the attitude "go big or go home" and get the K-1?

Is full frame that much better? Are their aspects of the K-1 that would make it the clear choice? Any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

2014 Sandhill crane Migration

Each year nearly 450,000 Sandhill cranes use the Platte River Valley in Nebraska as a 6 week stop over. During this time they will gain up to 20 % of their body weight for the long flight to Siberia. It is there they will spend their summer. This pic shows an early morning gathering in the fog of the Platte River.

I too say it is over processed. The sky could be toned downed a bit and make it be more natural.

Great Idea. I could use this setup in conjunction with the lightning trigger. That should be fast enough.I'll give it a try and see what happens. Thanks for the idea.

I am looking for a lightning trigger that would fire the Pentax K-x. The K-x has an IR remote and not a cable. I found one that could be made but I am hoping to find one to purchase.

The Pentax K-x doesn't have a cable connection. It uses infrared. I am hoping to find one that uses infrared to trigger the camera.

Cypress Trees alng St. Johns River

These cypress trees are along the St. Johns River. The dark stain is indicative of the floods of years gone by. Each year the river rises and the "tea" color water from the peat like soil that makes up the basin stains the trees.
