Hi
I normally buy through B&H photo video and they ship to Australia no problems what's ever.
I have found a lens which is with Cambridge World in NY, I just don't know them and would like to know if people have bought lenses from them.
Many thanks

has there been an indication as to when this lens will be available?
if the cost is between $USD2000 and $usd4000, then it is a affordable.
I look forward to trying out the lens, especially motorsport.

I photograph and write motorsport here, and the the lens I use the most is the Sigma 70 - 250 f2.8 hsm os, if you can wait to save some more money then I would highly recommend this lens.
The have been a number of times when the f2.8 has come into play.
The other lens I use is the Pentax 16 - 50 f2.8 and Sigma 24 - 70 f2.8
My photos can be seen on rsw photos.net and my articles are in Auto Sport magazine here in Australia.
I changed last year from Sigma 70 - 250 hsm II (non os) which I still have is for sale.

I have been after telephoto lens for sometime, my first preference 600 f4 which I have tried to find without much luck. So when I started to hear about a new lens I was excited however the photos of the 560 f5.6 looks like three tubes stuck together and not much thought put into the way it looks compared to other telephoto lens.
So part of me says no thanks... But the other half says let's have a look and try before I think of buying .

I have used the Sigma 70-200 II EX Macro and have just upgrade to the Sigma OS version. either lens is great for sport however the OS (if you can afford it) is just brilliant for motorsport. I listed the II EX macro for sale in the marketplace.
you can add a 1.4 or 2x teleconvertor how they will be used in manual focus.

On a clear day with norminal temperatures F8 is fine, when you are trying to take photos in low light or late in day a faster F is always going to better even with F2.8 lens with 1.4x or 2x the they will better off than a f8.
If you are concerned about price then F8 will be fine, how you will get bored with the limits will offer.

I use Sigma 300 f2.8 d and 70-200 HSM II OS for motorsport, you can see a number of photos as rswphotos.net a 500 lens would be nice however it comes down to how many times it would be used over the number of times you would use a smaller lens.
I do have for sale 70-200 HSM II in the marketplace, the only reason in selling this lens is that i prefer to take photos with this style lens without a monopod, and the OS allows me to take photos at very slow speeds.

Sorry if this has been posted before.
I noticed on the weekend that when I try to shot continously as in 7 frames per second, I noticed that the K5 stopped at aorund 3 frames then paused then took another 3 seconds.
When I first got the camera, it went nuts with the number of frames which I was impressed and got some amazing photos.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Cheers

thanks, I'm looking into purchasing SDHC cards for the K5 any thoughts on what would be better suited or the type of card that would handle writing 7fps.
I'm involved in motorosport.

Well I have read this entire thread and feel that I will order one and the grip.
I haven't heard of a cost yet, but based on the past
Ds $AUD1400,
K10 $AUD1350 with grip
K20 $AUD1480 with grip
K7 didn't get one as the side grip was too small
K5 $AUD ????? with grip, could be under $AUD2000.
It's going to nice to have 7 frames per sec for motorsport

I started with the 50 to 500 bigma, which was fine. However the motorsport work demands grew I then changed to 70-200 and 300 sigma ex lenses and using two bodies.
I'm now looking at a 600 f4 or 500 f4.5 as this will complete the camera bag for sports.
At the end of the day it comes down to budget. what you can afford is where you will go.
have fun

Hi All,
Both my cameras have just tick over 10000 frames and was thinking of having the shutter button checked as it would seem that I'm missing some frames when I have pressed the button and feel that this is due to usage.
Has this happen to you, if so what did the service do
tighten the button release or replaced the this part with a new one
Cheers
