I'm looking for original Asahi Pentax Filters - 49mm. I am looking for:

UV (Ghostless)
Y1
O2
Flash
Flood

Also need the original Hard Plastic Cases for the 49MM Filters that have ASAHI PENTAX FILTER embossed on the top. (have a few original filters already, but without cases and boxes).

Original Asahi Pentax Filter Boxes (black, red/white/blue lettering)

I've been looking on ebay for a while haven't seen any. I missed a few sales on this Forum (they were there & sold before I joined).

Any help would be much appreciated to a new "Spotmatic" (crazed) Collector.:lol:

Correct Takumar Lens case

I recently obtained a Macro-Takumar F4/50mm lens. ( 1:1 , 1st issued macro lens prior to Super, etc?)

The Macro came with a hard case, fits in nicely, but I don't think it is the correct one.

The top of the case has the Asahi Optical Co. LOGO. The interior of the case is green felt.

Anyone know what case this was used for?

Anyone know what case the lens orginally came with? Takumar, etc. on top? Red felt interior?

Thanks to all regarding my inquires to the Spotmatic Body Cap and appropriate Flash!

I'm quite impressed with the knowledge my fellow Members have out there and the time you are willing to spend on helping out.

I have a Camera Show on 8/8 and now can seek out "finds" to add to my "new" Spotmatic outfit.

Hello.

I have been on a nostalgic kick to once again own the photographic equipment that made up my first "real" camera outfit.

I served in the Panama Canal Zone in 1967-68 and owned an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic and various lenses, case and accessories.

I now purchased a working Asahi Pentax Spotmatic from the proper era, in great shape. I obtained a 50MM Super Takumar 1.4., a camera case, proper to the camera's time, etc, etc.

Anyone know the correct M42 Body Cap that would have been used? Plastic - Metal?

What Flash Unit would have been used? Model?
