Main issue is that sometimes the processor seems to be blocking literally everything. Especially after shooting some night shots, while walking back to the car i wanted to browse my just made pictures. Zooming in and then - FREEZE. No more response to any button - even no response to switching off the camera!! Had to remove battery for a while to get access to the camera again.
When reviewing shots with great magnification (x16), chances are likely that camera is "not able to display image" at all. Fortunately LightRoom will be able to open the files...
These are two pretty harsh disappointments for me, after many years of using Pentax Gear. Do not know whether it is caused by me, demanding ever more from the camera, or by bugs in soft/hardware....

So here I am, practicing. On brick walls. To find out how exactly the plane of focus can be influenced by tilting the lens, and by choosing the correct focusing distance.
This is the one where I wanted as much in focus as possible. So tilted the lens plane towards the wall. The full 8 degrees tilt. And then moved the camera to get things sharp.
And here you see the lens was tilted AWAY from the wall plane. You see that only a very small part is in focus. The rest gets a creamy out of focus look.
Now this is good to know. For example for taking portraits in distracting circumstances. More to follow!

Happy to join this club! Have "ebought" together a Arsat Tilt adapter, MC Biometar 2,8/80 and a "Zebra" Flektogon 4.0/50. Have not yet had many chances to go out with this gear, but a first shoot made me very optimistic already....(shot with the 80mm on the tilt adapter on full tilt downwards. Is this pic visible to you? |

I am learning to work with the Lensbaby. Had this fun toy for some time already, but with my new K1 it is like a whole new fresh start.
Just reporting here that Lensbaby does not show excessive vignetting (unless you want it to). Colours are nice in the pictures. (did quite some post processing on the colours)
Some sample pics are in the post your photos department on this forum. C&C welcome.
Are there more K1ians who took their Lensbaby out? Would love to see some results! |

Maybe they want to see the success of the Tilt/Shift 24mm first?

I like the shot. The fly in the middle makes it look "steady", like it will stay there for ages. Since it is not, my choice would have been to put it out of the image center.
However, your choice to have it perfectly centered, makes me more aware of my "natural" framing. Thanks a lot!

Having a baby requires a lot of practice, they say.
So.
I took my Lensbaby to Rotterdam Alexandrium.
That is a shopping mall in Rotterdam. It is not very crowdy, it is closing time.
I love the quiet.

Now trying the chkdsk D: command. No response whatsoever yet. ---------- Post added 09-12-2016 at 10:30 PM ----------
Hi Steve, can I format a drive using this software, through the Pentax camera? Or is it like the chkdsk command, only through a reader?

Oh, really? Gosh, this thread is very informative... so the conslusion seems to be: I bought far too expensive card... larger than is wise and faster than my K1 can write... of a brand that is heavily criticized for failing cards.
New is the suggestion to see what Sony help itself offers, thanks again all!

In the Netherlands (and Europe?) there is a navigation company called TomTom. It provides car navigators: Navigatie | TomTom
They already did that before the smartphones got to the market. And actually they were the first consumer product company with something like a touch screen technology.
But that may just be a local company, I thought.
