Is Your Camera Your "BELOVED"?

Interesting. I am surrounded by soulless cynics.
I can tell, I loved all Pentax's - K20D (first DSLR still works), K5IIs and K1S.
Yes, I sold my beloved K1S, switching to Nikon Z.
So much emotions and feelings were connected to Pentax - first its arrival, first feelings of something well made and consumer friendly, first pictures, expectation of FF camera, new lenses, comparison to the other brands, discussions on this forums, my daughter's childhood, growing with Pentax as a photographer, understanding and learning photography etc...

Nikon Z system better works for me, but I will never call it beloved...it is just a machine to take pictures that do not require a lot of time and creativity to post process...
Looking back and looking forward on the things I owned and sold and may sell, Pentax is still the one that desrves the word BELOVED, even it pushed me to switch on to Nikon Z..
Amen!

Impressive! I guess that is the new road path for Pentax. In and out the battery. That happened with K-1 now it is with K3 III.
Should that be in a camera manual?

Thank you. I thought so, but I was not able to find any information about such combo.
Talking about the 1.7x adapter...Does the adapter do the AF by moving elements inside or does it push and pull the lens mounted on it?

Hi Guys,
Pentax 6x7 400mm F4 + 67 to K adapter + DA 1.4x converter on Pentax K1

Pentax 6x7 400mm F4 + 67 to K adapter + FA 1.7x adapter on Pentax K1

Will any of the above combos be able to provide AF?
Has anybody tried any of such?

Thank you in advance for your comments/thoughts.

Hi Guys,
If there is a similar thread please feel free to redirect me.
I am proposing to all of you to share your pictures taken with any 6x7 lens on any digital camera. Of course, the preference is for Pentax/Takumar.
Please put some details about your camera and lens.

Some pictures are below:

Locals do not remember snow on Halloween.
For me it is a good day to practice shooting with the 67 lens on T/S adapter without a tripod.
I like the result, it is a 4 vertical shot pano, again handheld.

That was a discovery for me - using a shift feature w/o a tripod.
Am I bragging? No. Just sharing what's new for me.

Not sure if I understood your question. Yes, the distance matters. I tend to believe you are familiar with DOF as a term. This parameter is very narrow for large apertures (1.4, 2, 2.8), so if you missed with the distance, you are in trouble. You have to be exact and precise with the distance (that is what rulers are for).

I have converted Vivitar 2x converter as a macro extension tube to SMC Takumar 135 mm Macro.
I was about to sell this lens together with the tilt-shift adapter after trying it on leaves, trees, flowers etc, but decided to give it a one more try.
Again, I did not want spend money on a macro bellows, so decided to play with the Vivitar converter (what else Vivitars are for?...joke).
I may post a separate thread to show what was done, but for now enjoy the video.
