Hitech nd

Hello guys,

I have a couple of cokin p sized nd, but quality is poor so I decided to replace them with hitech resin filters, that seem much better.

I'll use them with k5 (16-45 widest lens) and P645 (35mm widest lens) but I don't know what size choose among 85mm and 100mm... Obviously there is a big difference in price.
Cokin P seem to work fine with lens in my hands (only a couple of pics with a little vignetting) so I assume hitech 85 could be a right choice...any suggestion?
Thanks and regards
Domenico

Pentax 645nII 45 FA vs 55 A

Hello everybody,

I own a 645nII with 35A, 75FA and 200 FA. I mainly shoot landscape and street, in bw.
I feel something is missing between 35 an 75. What would you suggest between 45 and 55?
The first one is maybe too near to 35, but is autofocus (I don't see too well), the 55 should be perfect (and cheaper), but is manual focus...
What do you suggest?
Best regards.

fa 150 vs fa 120 macro

Thank you for your replies, I think I'll choose the 150, lighter, better bokeh, better lens for General purpose shoots. Macro is sharper, but heavier and a not so pleasant bokeh.
Thank you

fa 150 vs fa 120 macro

Hi there! I own a 645nII with 35A and a 75fa. A guy is selling a 120 macro and a 150 both fa at reasonable prices (500 E for macro, 400 E for the latter).
I am thinking of buying one of them, which one would you pick up? I need a moderate telephoto lens for occasional portraits
and landscape.
Of course 120 has macro ability, but would you recommend it for portraits?
Need your advise!
Thank you!

Unfortunately this one fits only on 645 manual focus, the auto focus 645 has a different battery holder...
Thank you anyway!
I saw a lot of these holders on ebay, but none for the 645 AF, it seems a bit odd to me.

Quiet Pentax film camera

I don't think it would be a good idea, all pictures would be blurred :) Thanks anyway!!

I've noted down Me super should be less noisy than Mx, I will check.

I know rangefinders are usually less noisy than reflex, but I want to use my lenses, so I'll stick with Pentax. This is the reason why I have never thought about Konika Hexar, that should be indeed a very good camera.

Me super is not my favourite camera though, I dont' like buttons and if I would have no option but pick a button-like camera, than it would be a super program.

Ciao

Quiet Pentax film camera

Hello, I know this question could sound a bit odd to somebody, but noise is an issue for me. My mx is not that noisy, but its "stonk" could be somehow disturbing every now and then.
I had the occasion to play with a Contax Aria and a Contax rtsII and I remember they were really quiet. Has Pentax ever produced something like these ones?
Thanks

Sony E-mount to Pentax K-mount adapter

Hello guys,

my girfriend is going to buy a sony Nex video camera (Nex vg20) and she'd like to use my Pentax lenses.

I figured out Novoflex produces an adpter equipped with a stepless f-stop control ring.

Anyone has experience with this adapter? How does it work? Are there any important limitations? I don't even think about autofocus of course...

Thanks

645 35mm FA vs A ?

Hello, I am considering to buy this lens for my 645nII. I have the opportunity to take an FA one in good condition for 900 Euro and I am seriously thinking about it, even if the A is valued half this price.

Is it true that there are some bad 35 FA around? I heard you have to be very careful when you pick up one...there shouldn't be such a problem for A version...

Best regards

Best wide angle lens (between 24 and 28)

i do have 20 f4 m, indeed very good. I dont use it quite often as to my taste 20 is often too wide (but it is always in my bag). I am looking for something spectacular between 24 and 28...maybe fa24 is the guy.

Oh yes I know, but I already own the FA35 that isn't
so bad... 31ltd means far better construction, mith, pleasure...but it still remains very expensive.

Hello guys, I was wondering which in your opinion is the best wide angle lens for film in the range 24mm-28mm. I own an M 28mm f3.5 and I'm quiete happy with it, but you never know...:)

I read several enthusiastic reviews of the k28 f2, but it is indeed very rare, heavy, large and...expensive! It should be a sort of Zeiss project, very similar to Distagon, so no surprise it is an astonishing glass.

I found other very good reviews about FA28, K28 3.5 and, of course, FA24...are these significantly better than my 28M 3.5?

Ciao

Hello guys

I need a flash and my choice is between Pentax af360fgz and Metz 48 af-1 D.

Noob question: does Metz work properly with film cameras as MZS or it's a DSLR dedicated equipment? I believe it works properly but you never know...

Even if I heard the menu of Metz is tricky I prefer this one for the extra features and lower price... do you agree with me?

Thanks a lot to everybody

Hello guys...
I've been reading this forum for a long time and now I decided to register in order to ask you a lot of things. I think posting will also help me in improving my English (so excuse me for my mistakes).

See you
