@ dankobanana : sorry i couldn't reply to your PM as i don't have enough posts apparently, i usually just lurk around quietly :-)

If you're planning to use the flash mainly on top of the camera, the yongnuo will prevent your cameras on board flash to be open, if im not mistaking the on board flash on the k20d is also the AF assist light. that might further impede the AF in your situation.

i usually use the yn560 on the k7 which has the green AF assist light on the body, and the AF works just fine

the yongnuo does not have its own strobe to help your camera focus

I use the yn560, and im happy with it for what it does,at the beginning it just takes more time when taking pictures, makes you think, kind of like shooting in manual mode, or using manual lenses. i usually use the flash indoors in familiar locations so using the manual flash is pretty easy, at the beginning i just guessed the settings, checked the result and adjusted when necessary, i get pretty good exposures now on first try, but im lucky my subjects tend to stay at a similiar distance.

it really depends what kind of photography you need the flash for, how much you'll use it, and how much you want to spend on it
