It has 5000-6000 shots on a shutter rated at over 100,000. I am consolidating so something has to go. All in all, a top-notch professional 24-megapixel camera for the money. See the unretouched JPGs taken with this very capable camera. It would be in excellent condition except for the scratches on the base.

As I said in my prior post, when the news first came out, I am a little leary of spending more on a line which may disappear. Yet, I own the K-7,K-3,K-3ii,K-1and have had the KD,K-5and K-5iis. Now I can't wait to see what the new Pentax is. Guess it is a little like lens envy and yes, I have plenty of those too.

Hope that this is a real winner, it has been a long time since I have felt good about Pentax. I have the K-1, K-3ii, K-3, and others. I have a lot of very excellent lenses. Even tried to sell some but can’t even realize 50 percent of cost. Yet I feel bad that I often get better pictures with a Panasonic G9, that I bought as part of the mirrorless craze and now use most of the time. In Technology today, five years is a lifetime, and I compete against some very wealthy guys who get new Cannon/Nikon/Sony often. It’s hard to do this with old equipment. Can I count on Pentax to keep up reasonable well both in still and video? Will my lens investment retain its value? Will I be able to compete? Will this new camera be as good as the competition? I will have to wait and see.

I have a rose Q-7 with 01, 02, 06, 08, smc Pentax-DA1:4.5-5.8 55-300mm ED, and pentax adapter and Fotodiox PK-PQ Adapter, a Samyang Mini Max Slave Flash, a set of Opteka extension tubes (21,16,10mm) As well as 9 D-Li68 Batteries and a Charger and a Small Hard Waterproof foam filled case for most of the set. I am considering putting this up for sale as a LOT. Please let me know if you are interested. All in Excellent condition.

my pictures will not post to the marketplace thread after being marked as uploaded. I tried to find help in the site help forum and tried to add pictures a number of times, including when I initially added the 15-30mm lens to the buy/sell. I was also unable to "Bump" the 500mm Sigma when I lowered the price, even after reading and rereading all that I could find on it.

Yes it is the older version of the lens. It is completely manual focus. The lens hood is perminately attached and it slides out. As far as I can tell it is the lens that is in the data base listing for $1200 Average. I have the 150 to 450mm Pentax now, so I didn’t use this lens much. Only on one trip to Yellowstone. It does have a tripod foot.

I too am having problems loading pictures. Whenever I try to load pictures to go with my ad, the webpage freezes.
