As a newby to the forum and Pentax DSLR, I thank all for sharing info; I'm reposting my question here:

My current question is flash use with my K2000: can I safely use the Minolta auto360PX on the hotshoe (I'm guessing in Manual mode only), alone; and secondly, use that as a master to trigger my AF-560FGZ as wireless slave?

Howdy from the Texas Hill Country: I've just registered after having scanned these threads for info. and am learning a lot from youse all, thank you! This year I returned to phototaking after a long break tending to life needs. But DSLR and computer applications have recaptured my interest; this is also serving an important stimulus to my slow 69 year used brain! I started with an early Ricoh, then a Minolta SR-1, and lots of P&S toys. My current interest is macro, wildlife, travel scenics and family. I think you can find my brief equipment list somewhere at which I registered.

I've picked up a seldom used Minolta X-700 with a working auto360PX flash; I'll play with film applications for chuckles.

My current question is flash use with my K2000: can I safely use the Minolta auto360PX on the hotshoe (I'm guessing in Manual mode only), alone; and secondly, use that as a master to trigger my AF-560FGZ as wireless slave?
