Indeed, the starburst of the 15 does give it away. Seen here on Dolores Street in San Francisco last weekend.

...this thread has left me no other option but to buy the 15. My hunt for a great wide lens eventually led me here to this club, and in perusing the posts and images herein, I knew there was no other choice. Your amazing photos are not only inspirational, but also instructive. Thank you, you are all responsible for my new addiction. Oh, and what a precious little lens it is...

Thanks, everyone! You've confirmed my gut instinct - to go with the SMC A or M 28/2.8. You've been more than helpful. And I would love to get my hands on the 31 limited, too! It's just a matter of time before I succumb, I suppose. Ahh...so many lenses..

Hey guys, this is probably an oft-asked question, and if so feel free to send me to a previous thread, but...

I'm looking for a prime lens in the 28mm neighborhood for my K7, of which the are many. I'm seeing Pentax, Vivitar, Sigma, and even something called Phase 2 CCT (?) - all in roughly the same price range. Which would you guys recommend?

Bear in mind, when it comes to color, IQ, contrast, etc I am in love with my Pentax-A 50mm 2.0, I just want something a little wider. So maybe something similar.

Thanks!

A puddle in the street after an evening storm. Different colored lights reflect off the wet pavement, buildings in the background reflect in the pool of water collected in the street.

Shot RAW, processed in Photoshop CS4. Post-Processing: crop, unsharp mask
