Hello Mike - My problems are not with the AF hunting but rather the long shutter times and the subsequent movement from hand holding the camera. A great example of my frustration came on Christmas morning when I didn't capture the images I wanted because I didn't want to use the cameras flash and got blurry photos. I certainly understand the thin DOF issues that will accompany an f/1.4 setting if I am shouting with the aperature wide open. Like you said, I might be trading one set of problems for another. I certainly need to think through this. Thanks again for your questions.

Hello all - I have a K10D and still struggle with getting photos in low light conditions. I am looking to buy a Pentax F1.4 SMC-A lens from an individual. The lens is in great shape but I just don't know much about these lens. The lens reviews do not review this lens. What I would like to get is ya'll thoughts on this lens. He is asking $175 for this lens. Thanks in advance for your input.

Hello All! I am on a tight budget but need to get a long lenses for my K10D camera. I am looking at the Tamron AF 70-300 f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom and the Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom. Both are in the $150 range. Thoughts?

I recently purchased a used k10d with the 18-55mm lenses and now need to figure out how to operate this beast. Before buying this camera I was a member of the point and shoot regime. I have already taken what I believe are some pretty killer pics. Now I just need to figure out how to post a couple. Thanks for looking and go Huskers!
