I've searched through all my settings to try and find it...there is an LCD screen setting which lets me adjust the brightness level, but no option to completely turn it off. I'll have a look through my users manual to see if I can find anything ---------- Post added 08-13-20 at 03:21 AM ----------
After searching, I have found there is a way to turn on/off the TOP LCD panel (using the RAW/FX button customization options), but there appears to be no way to completely turn off the "monitor" (I guess I was incorrectly calling this the LCD display beforehand. I want to actually be able to turn off the monitor (which I guess does somewhat go off if using Live View mode - but is this the only way?)

Is it advisable to turn off the camera's LCD displays (and is it possible on the K3 ii)? I find it incredibly annoying as it's so bright and distracting when trying to get a good look at the night skies.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Yes, I used a -6 ND filter (it was extremely bright that day, and no other way to get a slow-shutter shot of the falls).

Help, I'm unable to delete attachments. I've got FIVE I want to delete, but no check boxes show up allowing me to select them for deletion. See screenshot below. How can I delete them?

I want to record a performance tomorrow night using my K-3 II. According to my manual it will record continuous up to 4 GB or 25 min. Does that mean whichever comes first? If recording is paused and resumed at various intervals...am I still DONE after 25 minutes? I have two 32 GB SD cards, and will have 3 full batteries on hand (no external power outlet available). The performance is expected to last about 2.5 hours. Any thoughts? I really want to capture the entire event if possible.

Sweet - thanks for that! It's a lot more involved and complicated than what I had first imagined, but at least the resource is there now if I ever decide to try it. Is there a tutorial anywhere on this site about doing panorama photography? It's something else I'd love to dabble with.

I wasn't sure if this question maybe belonged in the help for beginners forum, or if it's more appropriate here. I'm kind of thinking timelapse photography and video making is more of an advanced technique so I'm posting here.
Basically, I want to learn how to do it, and since I'm a Pentax user, I'm posting here. Are there any good tutorials out there that can be recommended? Do I need any special gear or equipment other than my camera and tripod?
Cheers :)

It's the three most recent ones that I want to keep - because I'm currently getting help with that thread. You didn't tell me how I can delete or at least move the other ones.

I'm using Lightroom 6.1. So, shooting an HDR style image with multiple exposures is the only solution?

Help!! - For some reason I am unable to delete some very old attachments. I would like to be able to do this to free up my user space. I know where to go to manage my attachments, but the problem is, there is no checkbox available beside the ones I want to delete - see screenshot attached - oh wait - I can't even upload a screenshot showing the problem because I don't have enough FREE attachment space - grrrrr, frustrating! Some attachments have a checkbox allowing me to select them for deletion, but there are 4 or 5 there that do not show a checkbox, and I am therefore unable to select them for deletion.

This has happened to me a few times lately, and I'm really not sure how to correct or compensate for this problem. During some night photography scenarios, there are extremely bright lights in front of the subject I'm attempting to photograph. Unfortunately in some of these situations, there is not an alternate location, angle, or position in which to photograph from where I may AVOID these bright lights altogether.
Needless to say, even though I'm shooting in RAW, and using Lightroom (highlights and whites cranked all the way down to -100 in many of the photos), these bright lights at the foreground of my image, are still extremely overexposed, or burned out, or causing flare (maybe due to my UV filter - which I probably should have removed in some cases).
I'll attach some samples for reference (one with an overexposed sun in my opinion) - please give me all the advice you can! I want to beat this!
