I'm thinking of buying this flash. The seller describes it as Canon Nikon, so can I use it on my K-x? Or is there a pentax specific version?
My other options are the III and II. Are those any better?
Couldn't find the flashes forum for some reason, but it's been a while since I have logged in.

Rupert, have you considered skipping the X30 and going for the X100s successor? They are not even in the same ballpark regarding FL or price, but I think you'll do many more great things with the new one.

This is technically my first post, but I've been stalking this thread for 2 years, or since its inception. I bought an X20 from Japan at the beginning of this year, inspired only by your photos. It's for my mom, so I couldn't get X100s, but I haven't regretted the X20 for a moment since I held it at a Yodobashi store in Tokyo. It was great reading about your foot healing, Rupert. I miss your squirrel photos.
Alas, I couldn't get the obligatory beer introductory photo, but hopefully this delicious cupcake will suffice. Merry Christmas and Hannukah everybody.

Eagerly awaiting the first hands on review to see if the autofocus lives up to the rumored hype. As it has been foretold, Canon and Nikon users shall fall to their knees in despair as the illusion of superiority crumbles before them, and the true APS-C messiah shall come forth and depose all the false market leaders as the king of K-mounts. I took a photo of my nephew and his girlfriend. My workhorse HP laptop is gone now. The GPU burned itself. Now I have one or two RAW files that need to be processed, and edited. Maybe I'm asking for a bit too much, but can someone do it for me?
If so, how and where can I upload the original RAW files?

Beautiful photographs. Repped you :). I had asked you about the size of the lens in an earlier thread. Got it a few weeks ago. It cost me $470, but I'm happy because I get a 6 years warranty.

+1. Yes, Pentax lenses generally have uncommon FLs, but that's something I'm happy about. :-D I just hope there are some new releases soon, because the last year has been sort of slow.

A new 85mm f/1.4 from Pentax certainly would be above DA Ltd series.
There are obviously large holes in the current line-up. But third-party companies like Sigma and tamron are helping fill them up. Many people argue that their build-quality isn't nearly as good as Pentax's, but I think Pentax should send third-parties thank-you cards.
