My older ist DS has several bad pixels. I took it to the camera shop and they told me that there was nothing I could do about it and that most digital cameras start having bad pixels after about five years, who knew? I love this camera and would like to have it whole again.
I'm thinking about sending it to Pentax Service to see about having the CCD repaired but wanted to ask here first if that makes sense and if anyone has done this before. If so what kind of cost would I be looking at?

I just purchased an Optio P80 and have it set to 12MH. It says that it's a 12.1 Mega Pixel camera but the pictures I get are around 4meg. What gives?
