To check the version number, turn your camera on while holding down the MENU button. The version number will appear in the center of the LCD screen.
You can skip any older firmwares and just load the latest one

If the camera does come with a card, it's usualy way too small to be very useful anyway.. Thats the first thing I replace when I get a new camera with a card.. mind you, the last few didnt come with one :)

Why not post pics of the lens in the thread instead of emailing them out seperatly to everyone?

I like my Sigma 10-20mm, so thats not an issue.. but I'm looking to cover several FL's not just 70-200mm :) So I'm probably looking at 3 lenses :)

I am trying to cover some focal length with a few zoom lenses and would like a few recommendations...
Lenses should be AF Zoom lenses, around F/2.8 (SDM type preferred)
I want to cover somewhere around 20-70mm, 70-200mm and 200-300mm
I know there are some sigma/tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses out there and they basically cover the same range as my DA* 50-135mm.. Are they as good as the DA*?
Lenses I'm currently using are in my signature...
Thoughts?
