Thank you, i will remember all these things for my trip. Im hoping to get at least one amazing water photo, and one night time photo. Advice on slow exposure/shutter speed is also greatly appreciated.

Ive had my k7 for about a year. Its my number one hobby, although i work 6 days a week. Im getting ready to go to Yosemite in a couple days, and im looking for some good tips or setting tricks to get some amazing shots. I have the kit lens and a zoom lens, which i assume i wont be using as often as the kit lens. Without a wide angle lens im unsure of how to capture the magic that Yosemite carries. I like to shoot and edit to blak and white, but im looking for a good tip on crispness in my photos. All advice is appreciated! An untrained photographer can use all the advice she can get!

We had a little scrub jay nest that was dropping babies out like mad. It was about 112 degrees outside so we were trying to help. In all my sweating I just HAD to photograph them.

I do have some old vivitar lenses from my 35mm film pentax. Including a macro lense. I might just see how those work :) I have some photos from my point and shoot that I plan to share. Just a little olympus I've been playing with to hold me over til I get my k7.

Just joined the forum. Hi to all. I have been taking photos about 13 years and am just starting to find my nitch. I have found most of my joy in taking macro photos and am about to upgrade to the k7. Any advice on specific lenses I will need would be highly appreciated. I have never even taken a photography class.. just used the eyes and trial and error to create the small selection of photos I have. I have been told I do pretty well, but only by others who have no photography experience. I honestly cant wait to hear how it really is. Once I get that k7 I'm sure all of you will be annoyed to see how many photos i will post.
