Well, I did it, made a decision, and ordered the K50 with the 18-55 kit lens. I think the price was good, $650 Canadian, free delivery. I should have it in a few days. Again thanks for the advice, it helped.

Thanks for the advice and info. I never noticed that camera comparison page before, duh! I have settled on the K50 for the reasons mentioned above, the cost and because I think it will be a meaningful upgrade.
Thanks again.

I am thinking of upgrading from my KR. The new K3 is a little too pricey for me so, should I get the K5 II or the K50? Most of my pictures are family type photos. Some are of grandchildren playing sports, mainly hockey and soccer, so focus tracking is important to me. Low light, high ISO performance is also important for shooting at the rink and indoor family stuff. I also take my camera when traveling, so weight and size is somewhat important as well. I do take some video but I am not serious about it. Thanks for the help.

PS: I am also looking at the Sigma 18-35 F1.8.

If it is true? What maters to me is the date! An official announcement or the official release date. I guess an official announcement would do.
I am thinking of getting the K-30 with 18-135 in the next few weeks. I want it for a trip in July to replace my K-r and Tamron 24-135. Faster auto focus, better viewfinder and weather sealing the biggies. I would hate to pull the trigger and find out a month later that a much improved version is coming.
To buy or not to buy?

Hi all, this is my first post after a couple of years of lurking. I'm a long time Pentax user going back to my much missed MZ-S, and before that a manual Ricoh with a K mount. I'm now fully digital with a *ist DS and now a K-R.
