Pentax Canada is shipping on Monday.
With my cynical mind, it's probably to give the Canadian dealers (me) a chance to sell some cameras before the rush to buy online from the US.
If no-one buys in Canada, what's the point of having a Pentax Canada :p
Some Canadian dealers may have to wait for a second shipment to arrive in the country, as Pentax Canada probably is allocated a smaller shipment compared to US.

Those are big windows!!
Probably have blinds or shades.
How about built-in neutral density filters :)

Good mornin'
What makes the pin stick in the first place?
Is the sticky part a result of it's position inside the flash?
Or is it because the pin is too tight in the hole (as I suspect)?
Maybe if the hole were a bit bigger, there would be a little extra play or wiggle room for the pin so it wouldn't bind.

As another 61 year old....
I've got the D and the K10d and both have served well, and as a seller of all these fine camera, I often have these flights of fancy. Most of my picture taking is for my own use and enjoyment and not for walls of a gallery. It's nice when a friend wants one, or my charming wife wants one for framing to give to a girlfriend.
One thing I do enjoy is flowers in my backyard. I often use my Canon G5 for that.
Myself, I'm waiting for a Pentax with a swivel screen and live view. That would be the second light of my life!!
That would be worth upgrading to. It will come. No more grovelling on the ground!
Besides, like me, you'll probably go another 40 years or so (hopefully). Lotsa time!

Good evenin'
In the custom menu, there is a setting for flash and WB. Something about using WB as shot or unchanged. It is mentioned on page 33 of the manual, but no reference page.
Would I be right in assuming it would leave the WB (eg--cloudy) alone when using flash as opposed to changing the cloudy to a daylight flash setting when using flash?
Thank you

Afternoon
There's also a new version based on PCLinuxOS called DFPE by newmikey ( I think he uses Pentax; he posts on DPReview)
It's a version that has all the program you need for digital photography. It's KDE based, but it also has things like Fphoto and other stuff from Gnome. It has oodles of photo stuff.
Also has a license to use Rawtherapee. DFPE | Digital Photography Edition - Digitale Fotografie Editie
I've been using Linux for about 8-9 years, and I find very few things I can't do.

Good evening.
The subject came up today about getting ready for our Santa pictures in the mall.
Last year we used a Canon Xt and shot pictures onto a memory card.
This year we were hoping to try something better.
What I would like to to do is use a K10d (or D or k100D) to aim the camera and see the picture on a monitor and press the space bar or whatever to take the picture. Is that something remote assistant would do?
Are there any cameras (any brand ) that do?
Are there any specialty cameras for that type of work?
Christmas planning already. Sorry people!!;)

Spamming??
I don't think so, Yvon.
I don't think I would have heard about the book otherwise.
I bought it and have been really happy with it.
You haven't been "in your face" about it, so I'm ok with it

Good evenin'
I currently have the Pentax F50mm 2.8 Macro and the A50mm 1.7.
Is it worth getting the FA 50mm 1.4 lenses just for autofocus ?? (and the extra stops?)
