Thank you. Assembled a computer for this, scared to plug it in. :( (Can't believe you're halfway through tomorrow already.)

Hi, I too would like to commit to this for the month. It's been a long time since I did a single in challenge. So I'm not unfamiliar with this. But I've never done the daily end challenge. I need some discipline to get me going again. Bruce

Visited here long ago. Hit a sheep and got drunk with the locals. Despite the lambs early demise it really was fun. Beautiful island.
Seriously, great shot and thanks for the memories.

Well, that's enlightening news. I'll be keen on taking it out for a spin, so, I'll find your post and report in on my findings in a few days. I really want this to work with some older lenses I have.

PM sent. In part because of Wild Mark's tests which I had randomly stumbled across before I had seen his post here. Bizarre...

Thanks guys! Aw, shoot now I gotta go find some sort of image to capture. Enthusiasm, enthusiasm!
I like this idea and don't know why I don't do it more. Keeps things fun and less of a chore later.

Mind if I jump in for August? Been quite some time. A year, at least, since I've posted a photo to flickr, or so I was reminded. Sort of lost my interest, but, I'm becoming inspired again. Took a quick look around July and lots of great images being thrown down. So, looking forward to sharing images with you guys again.
I have a K35/3.5 that I'm lovin' and a K28/3.5 which I might use simply because it's on the camera and I love it, too.

Death Valley, a motorcycle and the 8mm FE... at night. Wow, it doesn't get any better than that. I have got to get there. Beautiful shots. Bristlecone and Mobius Arch at night are my favorites.

Hey Joe,
Real sorry to hear about this. I think you need to get up to those mountains of yours and out of the heat. Maybe the kids would want to go so you don't have to drive. Spend a few days, camp, get a hotel, whatever. Great photo opportunities and a change of scenery could do wonders.
I'm in a bit of a slump myself photographically. If you have any interest in doing something together, say to motivate each other, I would be more than willing. Post on flickr or somewhere on PF. Even if it's just to post a photo every other day and slap each other on the back. If the energy is not there I understand. I've been taking my happy pills for about a year and a half now and it's going well. In fact I think they should just put the stuff in the drinking water.:)
Take care...

A Takumar 50/1.4 is a wonderful piece of glass with a pleasant bokeh. A classic. I finally just "deyellowed" mine. It took about 10 days to 2 weeks to clear up sitting in the window. As far as it turning yellow again, these are pretty old lenses and it must have taken some time to for them turn yellow in the first place. I'm not worried, at least I've not heard of anyone having this problem of "reyellowing" quickly.
I put a little bit of foil around mine in case the barrel got hot sitting in the sun.
Good luck!

Just had a look and you can add things to your map under Organize. No one's going to see it though, until the map function gets fixed apparently. Click on the three dots on a photo in your photostream and click add to map and you will get a notice telling you they are working very hard.
I bombed out again!! I never should have counted myself in if I can't finish. It did get me taking photos again, however. Work has slowed to a crawl, no more doubles and plenty of sleep. Maybe I should consider April? Yikes! Like anybody will believe me now:lol: I will put the photos taken with the Tammy 90mm macro thus far on flickr for anyone interested and do a review here as I think this this lens deserves it.

Mar, I sure hope you're feeling up to it soon. Post when you can, anyway.
It's been a busy winter with lots of work and lots of snow. So, I think I need to try this again after my aborted attempt in December. It got busy but the internet not working right killed me. I've swapped out the modem twice and it's working great now.
The lens for the month will be my new Tamron Adaptall 90mm Macro 52BB. Been wanting one of these for a while now. I'm feeling rusty and uninspired. I do have photos for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, though. Time to get after it.

I'm glad this conversation is still going on. I haven't been sure what to think of the Explore process and I've felt very uncomfortable with my photos hitting explore this month and my inbox getting notifications of followers, not contacts, we're all followers. What a terrible choice of words. Obviously, I wouldn't be human if I wasn't pleased with all the faves and many thousands of views. It's gratifying to know someone enjoyed a little slice of the world you're trying to share.
The point is, the opinions and feedback of those here at PF are more important and have real value for me, since it was the people past and present here who have shown me what can be done with a camera.
Keep on truckin'....:)

Stevi, it's great news that you're feeling better and heading home soon. Put that K-3 through it's paces, will ya!?:)
The internet has been a little bit goofy lately or maybe my modem, I don't know. I reset the modem twice while trying to post my last 4(yikes) photos just now. I am hopelessly behind on commenting. The bokeh theme was a great idea and I'm enjoying it. The work you're all doing is amazing and entertaining. I never Intended to stick to it exclusively, though. If there's a nice landscape I'm going after that.
The cold here like most of N. America has been brutal. The low temps at night are not necessarily extreme but it just doesn't warm up during the day.
The internet and the weather are conspiring against me this month. Time to hit send before it goes out again.:)
