Some K-5s shipped with stains on the sensor/AA filter?

Returned my Pentax K-5 (serial no. 3832041) today. Recently I discovered sensor stains, that were not there before. Luckily Pentax and my dealer are very understanding. They will replace my camera. Curious how long it takes, K-5 might be out of stock.

Are we (Pentaxians) more critical than Canikonians?

My observation is that for many years the DSLR Pentax forums are dominated by people that don't like to take pictures but like to complain.

I still wonder why they keep buying Pentax cameras...

Poll: Stains on your K5d sensor poll

Pentax K-5 serial no. 3832041

NO STAINS

...except for one visible dust particle (f/32, ISO 100) near the centre that was easily removed using a rocket blower. :)

Note: This poll is rather useless due to bias: in general people having a negative experience are more willing to participate than people that only have positive experiences.

Great shot! Superb.

I also have the SMC Pentak 1:3.5 35mm lens and it's a steller lens.
Razorsharp, 3d like rendering and bright natural colours.
