This is a price I'm willing to pay and I'm cheap. I like the service. Pencil this one into next month's budget and forget it for a few years.

I want the K-1 Mark 2 to be good enough that many upgrade to it so I can buy a used K-1 at a reasonable price. That's been my plan now for almost five years and though I wasn't expecting it to be this year I'm hopeful. My K-5 has been a good camera and still is but I want the full effect of my wider lenses without the limitations of film.

It was the end of the era when Samsung stopped putting film cameras in their cell phones. I used to love the sounds they made when rewind motor kicked in and the film door popped open.

I help manage an annual sale where all the proceeds go to local charities. Every year we get things that sell for more than a thousand dollars that the donor did not want a tax receipt for.

- The usual Pentax weatherproofing.
- 16-41 megapixels. (Is 41 too extreme?) (I would think 24 would work nicely!)
- USB 3 connectivity with tethering.
- 80-51,000 ISO, or better.
- Touch-screen LCD, with bright sun boost. (Touch screen could give an industry first: Optimisation of "button" positions for left handed shooters)
- Built-In WIFI, with tethering app for Iphone, Windows Phone and Android
- Need I mention it - Of course it will be K-mount!
- Have Shake Reduction.
I really like the idea of touch screen for focus select.

Both of my K20 batteries came with a plastic terminal protector.
K5 is scheduled for replacement with the first full frame Pentax as soon as the second full frame Pentax goes on sale.

FA50 1.4 for the budget or half that losing only half a stop. Get a hood.
The F 50 1.7 is my most frequently used lens. I got lucky at a yard sale and it was only five bucks and I'm hard put to spend the big bucks for another half stop.

Take the deal.
As Adam said three stops matter. The next half stop is expensive.

The kit lens until you are sure it isn't good enough.
F8 is great. Use a hood. Chinese copies are cheap and work as well as the Pentax version.
