I bought this from forum member Anth.M two days ago for $850, listed here, paid $850 instead of the $800 in the post.
Decided it's too professional for a photography beginner like me, I will go back to my Kr :o
As mentioned by previous seller:
- K-5 Body only..in mint condition.
- currently done approximately 2000 shutter accusations
- MINT condition
- Full Box and all accessories included
Being more conservative I rate the camera as Like New, as it's used and not like just out of the "Pentax Mint". I can assure that it does PERFORM and LOOK LIKE NEW, no scratches at all.
An extremely nice camera :)

Hello, I am interested in knowing how to manual focus properly. I am using a K-r
I currently wear specs for short sightedness (around -2 to -2.5). I found that through the viewfinder, with the diopter slider all the way to the right, I have the same "view" with/without the glasses.
At this diopter setting, I find that I need to have both eyes open (one through the viewfinder, one looking straight ahead outside of viewfinder), to be able to get the sharpest (still not sharp enough in my opinion) possible info bar and the boxes in the viewfinder.
I might be totally wrong on how to see through a viewfinder. Do I wear my specs or specs off? Please do correct me. Thank you.

hmm...didnt use a tripod, maybe is eye's compability with diopter too, cant get it to have the readings in the viewfinder to be 100% sharp. (i'm using M50/1.7, so manual focusing is needed :S)
Any seniors can give some tutorial on how to look through the viewfinder properly?

Thanks. seems that maybe is problem with my eye's compability with the diopter as well. I tried sliding it but seems that at the right most position, I still not able to see it tack sharp, even with my nearsighted glasses on (roughly around -2.00 diopter).
Maybe I should just go out and take more photos.

one problem here...when using M50 1.7, I manual focused by looking through the viewfinder, sharp tack in focus....but subject I focused on came out blurry in the photo, what might be the problem?

my cam's serial number is 387x too...and manufacture date is 2010-11-09 from PhotoME.

Thanks for the great links. The sensor seems to be clean.
Used PhotoME to check the shutter number, it's number 3!! yay~
still not so used to the button functions, as got used to Panasonic LX-2's easy to tweak functions, need some time for this.
Flipbac mirror: wow, 1st time seen this mirror, great when your screen doesnt swivel/tilt...
SD card: I'm using the Kingston Class 6 card bought few years ago together with my LX2, shot a 20sec video, seems to be alright.
Bag: I'll look slowly for some, last time found some cute Japanese pouches for K-x.
Now some problem with taking sharp photos, not sure where the problem is though....might need some help here :)

Been reading and viewing all your good pics and posts for the last 1-2 years.
1. Now bought a Kr. May I know what steps should I take to make sure it's ok? I know this sounds zzz and I should just go start taking photos! But just to be sure :p
2. May I know of any good cases (non eye catching, be as low profile as possible :lol:), screen protectors?
