ahhhh patience is a virtue with ebay. I watch lots but seldom buy. Only last week after a 6 month wait and see I managed to bag off a Nikon F301 complete with a very good Nikon zoom both in mint condition for £50 plus a very clean Chinon CE5 complete with motor drive for £20.

Another 'No' vote that didn't vote because your No option is misleading. I shoot probably 70% film 30% digital, but I'd have zero interest in a 35mm K-1. A big part of why I shoot is film is access to the wonderful, mechanical and manual bodies. Give me a cloth focal-plane shutter, manual exposure, manual focus and manual advance any day. If I wanted a fancy-pants auto-everything I'd buy a MZS...
If I were to buy a brand new film body it would be something along the lines of the Leica M-A.

This is basically where I'm at. I like built in TTL meters on 35mm, but I want my film cameras to have no automation of shutter, aperture, or focus. I have a Nikon F4 and a Pentax SuperProgram, but I'm not shooting them anymore because the automation becomes a crutch. I recently got a Nikon F2, and will probably get a KM to use my Pentax lenses. My favorite by far is my Bronica ETRSi and it doesn't even have a meter. I use the waist level finder and a handheld meter. All of that fancy automation that comes with the K-1 (or any DSLR) is specifically why I went to film (that and computer based post processing.)

Hi Mikheil! I was waiting for someone who has owned their k-x longer than I have to answer, but I have had a white k-x for about half a year and I love it. It has not shown any wear at all, not even smudgy spots where my fingers touch a lot, like the on/off dial and hand grip. My experience has not been what Beer Nuts describes: my lens release button feels pretty solid, and the battery door is nice and flush with the camera. This is my first Pentax camera, so I don't know how it compares to the black models, but I'm very happy with my color choice!
