Thank God I switched to D800. I don't have to get so much excited any more... Nevertheless, I still have K-01 which I consider one of the most underestimated cameras in the world. Together with old K/M series it works wonders ;-)

With this lens and a new Pentax (semi-pro?) APS-C body (which I'm sure is on its way) I can live without FF Pentax for the next two years :)

I'm not much of an expert, but maybe, MAYBE if they have different prototypes, they'll hit different segments of the market? A prosumer body for the FF-hungry crowds (like myself :) ) and something, that could compete with e.g. D800/5Dmk3? What do you think?

I'm not much of a blogger, thus I don't express my opinions here too often. But I read all posts on PF everyday.
I own K-5 with some great lenses and I am still under a great impression of this fantastic camera and its capabilities.
I do understand, how important it is for a system to have a really representative flagship, like FF, but ... come on! Our K-5's are fantastic instruments and I bet that most of the users don't push them to the limit.
I wait patiently for new Pentax anoncements. I think, that sooner or later Pentax/Ricoh will deliver FF. If somebody can't wait that long, I think there are many other options. Don't hesitate! I'm wating for your half-priced Limiteds and * :)

In my first words I'd like to say "hello" to all Pentaxians from this forum.
I'm not a new member, I read this forum on daily basis. But this is my first post.
Let's get to the point.
I'm looking for a 35mm lens to compliment my set.
I've looked at:
DA 35mm f:2,4 AL
DA 35mm f:2,8 Macro LTD
FA 35mm f:2 AL
I need a bright lens to shoot without the flash. It should be sharp and produce a decent bokeh.
I don't need macro as I have DFA 100mm 2,8.
Of course the question of price is quite important.
At present, I can buy new DA 35mm f:2,4 AL for half a price of used FA 35mm f:2 AL. What is more, I could also buy almost new DA 16-45 (mint condition) and still pay less than for those two than for FA 35mm f:2 AL.
DA 35mm f:2,8 Macro (new) is the most expensive option at the moment and I'd have to save some more to get it.
To sum up, is the optical quality of DA 35mm f:2,8 Macro LTD or FA 35mm f:2 AL that much better than DA 35mm f:2,4 AL? What is more, that DA 16-45 could be an interesting addition to my set. What do you think?

Thanks for commenting- I'll keep improving. Those were only "test" shots and I didn't choose any particular subjects- just went out and took some photos :) Nevertheles I consider it to be great lenses :)

This is just more than amazing! You should be paid by Pentax to advertise their kit lenses ;) And............... you've just made me pick up my kit from a shelf and put it back into my photo bag :D Can't wait to see more of your shots!

I've looked through the forum and haven't found the answer- reviews are good but they don't cover my question which is:
Is Pentax FAJ 18-35 good enough to be used instead of the kit?
Or is it better to save some money and go for Pentax 16-45?
It's worth mentiong that I can get it at 1/4 of the 16-45 price:)
What are your opinions, dear Pentaxians?

Well, the softness of the first picture was totally intended- I used one of the built-in filters of my K-x.
Anyway, thanks for your responses- I've joined this forum to improve my photos. :)
