Adam, what is the best use of this 31mm lens? I use a 21mm for a lot of landscape work, and a fast 50mm for low light street scenes...seems like a good middle ground for landscapes..

Hey Jacoby, come November 2 the inmates are taking back the asylum....

From the comments on this it seems everyone thinks having a drink in a bar is inevitably followed by getting into a brawl, losing your moral compass, and shooting up the place. Seems kind of like a straw man argument. More people die from dog attacks, and more kids die in pools than people shot in bars....let's ban dogs, pools, and cars....all deadly in great numbers.

Carry permit holders have more training in gun safety and use than the control freaks have in facts, logic, and using the English language, apparently.

1. Reality is that there are and always be bad people who want to hurt you.
2. Fact is that states and cities that have carry permitees have less crime than places like Chicago, Los Angeles, or Washington D.C.
3. "Gun-free zones", like malls and colleges, are also "Mass Murder Friendly Zones". Most of the mass shootings could have been stopped early by one legally armed individual.
4 Fact is criminals do not obey laws so all gun control does is disarm honest citizens and prevent them from God-given self defense. God does not want us to allow harm to come to ourselves or others at the hands of evil people, duh!

This once lively resort was abandoned to rising water and became the home of pigeons and junkies. It was razed a while back and there is no sign that it ever existed

I have an early model I wear on my wrist for kayaking, it is waterproof, but the camera is very small and quality is not great. The best feature is that you can attach it to something: arm, helmet, etc. Shop around.

I hve been shooting Richoh KR-5's and KR-10's, Pentax 1000, and now Pentax K110, starting in the early 1980's. Before that it was Kodax twin lens reflex, and an old folder my grandmother had. My favorite lenses are my Vivitar 20mm and my Pentax Asahi 50mm 1:1.2 fast guy, with some cheap zooms in the bottom of the bag. My latest toy is a $99 fisheye, lots of fun. I have Hoya polarizers on my main glass, shooting mostly landscapes and outdoor features. Never used auto-focus, shooting wide open at infinity mostly. I started in Los Angeles, went to the Bay Area, then Fresno and San Diego, now I am in the Central Coast.
