Same thing happened to me. If you search just on the flash, the site says it is "discontinued". I suspect they ran out of stock... This is probably a deal breaker for me.

I had a problem with PEF files and Lightroom for the K5iis. Come to find out adobe had to do some updates for the K5ii/iis to be able to read the PEF file. Maybe the same applies here?
Note: Until the LR 4.3 release was available, I changed the format to DNG in the camera, and that worked fine.

I ordered the BIGMA on Sunday night (12/16) ath the $1299 price and had no problem. I should get it from UPS today.

Certainly all an "interesting" discussion!
All I know is I took the plunge and bought the K5iis, and took pictures at two church low-light events using the 31mm, 77mm, and a Tamron 70-200mm, at ISO 800-6400, and was VERY pleased with the results, considering IQ, noise, etc. I saw no moire, and all people did wear clothes...

I just got my K5IIs and discovered the same thing. What do you mean Adam by a candidate version? Is this something we can access?
Am I going to run into compatibility issues with CS5, and having a RAW plugin that works with both CS5 and LR4?

I have the 31, 43, and 77mm - they are about all I use. For a walkaround, I would definitely go with the 43mm (sometimes it is even a little too close, and I go to the 31).
Once you have it, I bet you will be saving for the others!

Interesting scanning all the purchases and sales (hire and fire).
Selling has not yet entered my vocabulary (I still have the K100D and the K10D)!!
I only bought the 43mm, to go with the 31, 50, and 77mm primes. I did not really plan to become a "prime lover", but I am very happy with one, and then buy another, and another, and another!

Thanks - this helps....
No where in this flow am I given the option to edit the picture with the adobe raw editorer (that I am aware of). What work has LR done already here, and how can I get the option to do the raw edits myself if I so chose?

As a bit of a LR/CS5 beginner, I recently shot some pictures as RAW+JPEG. I then loaded them into LR3. In LR3, it seems to know that I shot RAW+JPEG, but it is not clear which I am viewing/editing. If I then launch into CS5, I go straight into the normal CS5 editor, not the raw editor. If I edit the raw file directly from the file, adobe launches the raw editor first.
My questions are then as follows:
1. In LR3, what am I really editing - the jpeg or the raw file?
2. Similarly, which am I editing if I then launch into CS5?
3. If the raw file, why am I not first placed in the raw editor in CS5.
4. Can I tell LR or CS5 to edit either the jpeg or the raw file?
Note: If I shoot just raw or just jpeg, I think it operates as would be expected!
Any general insights or pointers would also be appreciated!

All I know is that the FA 31 and FA 77 do very well on both my K7 and K10....

I have had reasonable success with the FA 50mm with indoor martial arts competitions. I have also used the Tamron 70-200 F/2.8 and was having trouble. I later realized the aperture was going sticky, and have since sent it in for repair.
Shooting manual focus I assume is an option too....

Thanks for the insights! I have the FA 31mm and like it very much. The 77mm is on my list for next year, but if it looked like it was going away, I would buy it now!
I suppose I could pretend it is going away ....

Hi Adam,
I did find that thread as well, with references to Sigma lenses, but I cannot find the actual profiles. They did not come with LR 3.0 that I have, they are not on the downloader, and I see no links to the profiles themselves...
I am sure I am missing something...??
