It works the way Kobayashi says EXCEPT when you enabled contrast lines for focussing in Live View AF-settings. The options for Histogram and Warning for overexposure are greyed out. So you cant switch them on.
And when they were previously selected to be on, and you put the contrast lines for focussing on in Live view AF settings, then they will be switched off and greyed out.
I have no idea why you cant have both a histogram in Live view together with contrast lines for focussing switched on, like on the K-1.

I have a FA 24-90, a nice lens, but it has it drawbacks.
I have Tokina zoom 20-35 3.5, quite sharp at the center an stepped down in the corners too.
But the one I prefer is my old companion that was kind of glued to my LX in the film era is the -
A 24mm F2.8.
It outperforms both above zooms hands down, a lot sharper in the corners and almost no vignetting.
The colors and contrast are better too.
In the roadmap of Pentax lenses they are showing an ultrawide prime lens. I wonder what that would be. A 24mm or wider like a 20mm?

In the past every Pentax repair man had those rubbers. I had my LX repaired years ago. Maybe an old repair shop still has a set.

Especially the tonal range.

Yesterday during TT Assen MotoGP, the battle of the titans, Marquez verses Rossi.
The last one won the battle after going over the gravel.
All taken with Pentax K3 and Pentax F* 300mm.

Did someone test the TC 1.4 converter with a SMC F* 4.5 300?

Apart from the last good suggestion. Is the mirror stuck? A lot of times an older LX has damping rubbers for the mirror that deteriorate and the mirror will sometimes get stuck in an odd position or even in the normal position making it impossible to release the shutter.
When that happens you need to get the small rubbers replaced by a newer type that does not age.
Helping the mirror gently (with no lens fitted) when you release the shutter will sometimes help, but be careful not to break something.
Cleaning the rubbers won't help, because they will get sticky soon again.
Only replacing the rubbers by the correct type will help.

What camera and lens was this? And the Canon of the other photographer was probably soaked.

I had it once now with similar circumstances as described already.
Non-original battery depleted in the battery grip BG-5.
Switching off the camera had no effect.
Removing the battery from the remote did the trick.
So add me to the "me too" list.

Hi,
I am new on this Forum, but an old-time happy Pentax user. I have used Pentax reflexes from the ME2 onwards and the latest I currently own is a K10D.
I still have a long list of Pentax hardware, most of it as a kind of collection.
Camera's:
SP II, Auto 110, MX, LX, Super A, MZs, and for use the K10D and W60.
Lenses:
DA 14:2.8, DA 16-45:4, A 24:2.8, F 28:80:3.5-4.5 , FA 50:1.4, F 70:210:4, FA 77:1.8 limited, FA 100:2.8 macro, F 300:4.5 ED, which I use and many that I do not use.
Considering the K5 and that is why I came across this forum.
I make hundreds or maybe a few thousand of photos every year.
