I need to get this RMC Tokina 500mm f8 out more often.

Taken at Mosport raceway for their vintage racing weekend, last father's day.

Finally joined the club. Won a Tokina 500mm f8 off ebay a couple of weeks ago. Yes the bokeh is harsh....and the extra PP to fix up the contrast and colour helps....but not bad, for the reach is such a small package. She's bag worthy.

Picking up a used K-1 tomorrow...what should I look out for?

Just got back, with my K-1 in hand. Fantastic unit. It was an original K-1, that the previous owner had upgraded to to Mark II. If you can believe it, the shutter count is only 1,399, and that's after I did ~50 test shots. I assume the shutter count resets after upgrade. Talking to the leasing company rep that sold it to me, the original owner passed away. His wife returned the camera, as it was on a lease. I think someone goofed, as this guy must have intended to keep it, if he sent it off for Mark II upgrade.

Looking forward to finally being full frame. I've been lucky enough to collect a decent pile of full frame glass over the years. First up, the three amigos, followed by the 50mm f1.2

Appreciate the guidance. Good times ahead. Look forward to being more active on the forum once again.

Wow. I just found the gentlemen's name was still set up as the Owner in the camera setting. A quick google turned up his obituary. The picture they used for the obit write up, shows the gentlemen holding this very camera. It's found a good home Herman, RIP.

Couple from today with my 50mm A12 module. Love this camera more and more all the time. On vacation I find I'm grabbing it more often than my K-5, just so much easier to lug around.

Took my DA*300 to the zoo today. Pandas are making their debut here in Toronto. This appears to be my first popular Flicker photo, having been viewed almost 600 times since posting 8 hours ago.

Received my s10 kit yesterday, and got notification that my 50mm and 28mm shipped today. I also bought the M mount kit on the weekend (out of stock, but accepting orders)....I doubt it will ship, but thought I might try.

If anyone is looking for the O-VF1 viewfinder for a decent price, it's available from lozeau.com here in Canada for $99, on clearance. Still way to crazy a price for me (especially since I don't have a Q yet), but I thought someone might be interested. Do be sure you want it though, final sale:

Lozeau | Viseur optique Pentax O-VF1 $99

I spotted it, when searching for another items at a decent price. I've got a Canon Video camera, and they've got a good price on the 5.1 surround sound microphone ($149). Family vids are going to jump to another level:

Lozeau Canon SM-V1 5.1 Mic $149

I've never ordered from these guys before, but I know they've been around for ages....reputable company I believe.

They sure are. They are nicknamed "Duraloops".

Make sure they are white top, and you're golden.
