You are right, and I noticed it, but unfortunately I wasn't able to reduce the halos.
Maybe because it was very dark when I took the frames.
But I'll try to remove the remaining halos.
Thank you.

There was a lot of wind (meltemi), so no room for clouds...

Thank you for your comment.
In fact, I could have done as you say, because the pier were long and I could have changed the composition.
Really I have not noticed the confusion in the composition, till you pointed it.
Thanks a lot!

First of all, thank you for your comment.
In fact, I prefer horizontal landscapes, but in that case I tried with the vertical, and I posted the image in order to know if that picture could work well.
The comments on the atmosphere you posted were exactly the ones I searched for.
About the settings, I wasn't on a boat, but the weather was very bad, with a lot of wind, and I hadn't a tripod, so I had to shoot very fast.
ISO 1600 was an error, because before that shot I was in an ancient church and I raised from 200 to 1600, than I forgot to lower it.
If ISO was 200, as usual for me, probably settings were less strange.

In fact, the cloned one is better than the cropped one.
I have the orignal Raw file.
The highlights are lost, but I brightened up the shadow (maybe a little bit too much?).
Looks better?
In the original one I wanted to have very dark shadows, because I liked the high constrast between too clear sky and water and too dark trees and houses.
Evidently that was an error.
Thank you for your useful suggestions.

Thank you, Joe.
I was undecided wheter to cut or not the photo, but your crop is really better than the original.
About the sky, it was very clear and part of the sky was burnt (irrecoverable also from the raw), do you think that as it is it's too bad?

Without a tripod you have to shot in RAW mode and make the Hdr from that single shot.

Wonderful!
I was there in September, but under the blanket of snow it is very impressive!
Unfortunately, I took pictures only from Glacier Point.

Nice shots!
Just a little clarification, about the last picture.
"Nuestro Pueblo" isn't Italian, it's Spanish, and it means "our people".
