Some recent photos. These past few weeks have been first times I've tried night photography in the snow. It's really very fun. I'd love to hear what people think.
This first panorama I did just a few nights ago and it took me over an hour to shoot the whole thing. |

:) It's part of a series I'm working on. You can see the rest HERE. Most of them were taken with my K10D.

Ha, yeah, it's really bad. It does feel like my camera is infected.
I wish they'd get back to me :( I think I'll try calling again today. Breadwig Photography |

Here's pictures of the stains I've got on my K-5 (SN 3824127). One test on white, and then a landscape photo where you can still see them. It's pretty bad, since there's actually two strings, and I'm seeing them in a number of my pictures.
I'm getting impatient as I emailed Pentax customer support and never got a response, and when I called them they told me not to return it to Adorama and to wait until they called me back which was almost two weeks ago. |

Can I just say this forum rocks? I went to another concert tonight and shot using the suggestions here (spot metering, under shooting etc.), and I got much better results. |

Awesome tips, sounds like just what I need. I'll change to spot metering for shots like this, and I love the tip to meter on the actors faces too. Very helpful guys.

Amateur question here. I just replaced my k10D with a K5 and I'm having some over exposure problems when using AV and TAV mode. It's especially evident in high contrast shots.
I used AV mode all the time for similar shots with my K10D and the exposure was never blown out like this, so I'm clearly missing something.
If I go to manual mode and turn the exposure down it looks fine.
I'm curious what I'm doing wrong, and if there's a way to compensate for this when shooting in those modes. Is there a setting I need to adjust?
Here's a few examples:
thanks for any help!
