Looks like the SDM motor in my DA*60-250 is on it's last throws again (sticking and stuttering). I'll have to send it in to Ricoh Canada service for another fix.
I ended up digging out my old first generation DA55-300 out of storage and after giving it a fine tuning on my Lens Align I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised how nice the photos it's producing are. I hadn't used it since the days of my old K20d and it was never mounted on my K5iis.
It's super light and fun to use... I think even when my DA*60-250 returns I'll probably keep using the 55-300 for stuff like hikes in the forest where the DA* is a bit heavy (and the Sigma 150-500 is waaaay too heavy unless I'm birding!).

I'd say if it's written on hay bales, chances are it's a "weddin" :)

lytrytyr ... I only own an original Q so I really can't answer that for sure, but with a larger sensor it's my guess that you are probably right.

lmp ... The "wide" box in the viewfinder matches the 01 prime's photo size almost perfectly, the photo is a fraction larger.
Obviously allowances must be made for parallax when shooting very close, but otherwise it's almost dead on and no worse than the OVF on my X100.

Thanks to ebay I found a dead cheap Petri Tele-Wide finder for my Q.. wow it makes it the perfect street shooter with the 01 prime.
No scuffs, scratches or anything on it... just tons of dust. Took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it and voila! Good as new!
I love that I can just turn the read screen off, set center point focus and just shoot. The battery lasts forever and a half!

The A118 is a pretty decent cam, full 1080p HD quality, optional GPS, it's discrete and most of it's guts can be hidden behind the dotted area of a windshield and under $100 you can't really go wrong. Youtuber "Techmoan" has a pretty comprehensive review of the camera on his youtube channel. I bought mine from foxoffer.com (they seem to be one of the main distributor of the product).
I started using dashcams on my car a few years ago when some punk decided to use my car's front bumper as skateboard rail in the parking lot at work. The cam prevented further vandalism to my car, but did capture 2 hit and runs in mall parking lots (in both cases I was able to file police reports with video evidence). In the end it's cheap insurance.

Great shots! Been there 5-6 times and I really love that place.
I used to visit it all the time when I traveled to London as my hotel was right across the street (BP House before the SA sold it).
It's been too long :D

It's Guerilla Yarn Bombing, also known as Urban Knitting and Knifitti :)
It basically consists of covering (without permission) urban structures (lamp posts, bridges, trees) with partial or total cozies or "dressing up" statues. One popular yarn bomb was the statue of Mister Rogers who keeps receiving a nice red wool sweater.
Google it, some folks do get pretty darn creative!

Took a cruise on the Holland America MS Maasdam out of the Boston Cruise-port a few weeks ago. The ship sail right behind the runways so we were buzzed nonstop by landing planes.
All shot with a K5iis and Sigma "BigmOs" 150-500mm
