Pentax F SMC 50mm f1.7, Pentax F Zoom (nonSMC) 70-200 f4-5.6 Asking Price
65.00 CAD Item Location
Nova Scotia (Canada) Item Description
Two lenses for sale, both in very good condition (with one caveat on the F50).
a) Pentax F SMC 50mm f1.7. Classic autofocus.
Focuses well. Aperture blades are responsive with no oil. Body is clean with minor wear - no major blemishes. Elements don't have scratches or haze, and SMC coating is good. However, I noticed that the rear elements have two small spider patches that are probably a bit of fungus (I've taken a picture of these). Looking at photos I've taken it doesn't seem to impact the images, but they are there.
I've seen this lens go for around $100 here, and more on e-bay, but because of the spider pattern I'm selling it for $50. Comes with front and rear caps. Solid, metal mount, plastic body. Retro look. I'll package well. Selling because I have another one. Pics of lens below. First extra shot of Salt Mill is the 50 f1.7; the second is 50 f4.5
b) Pentax F Zoom 70-200 f4-5.6. This appears to be a non-SMC version.
Focuses well. Zoom is smooth. Aperture blades are responsive with no oil. Body is clean with minor wear - no major blemishes. Elements don't have scratches or haze, and coating is good. Comes with a rear cap and a filter on the front for protection.
This isn't the greatest of Pentax Zooms, although the photos it takes are actually quite nice. I'm selling it for just $20.
**
You can buy both of these lenses for $65, and only pay the one shipping charge. I can also sell separately, but each would have postage.

Hi, like many others, I'm trying to teach this old dog new tricks and fix up the occasional old thrift shop camera, for fun. (Until it's not!). I have picked up an ME Super in great cosmetic shape, but the advance did not wind the film or engage the shutter. Taking the bottom place off...there were some springs and the like that were loose.
Trying to put humpty back together again, but I'm not finding photos or schematics that can help. Does anyone here have some advice?
Thanks

Classic Pentax SMC M 50mm f1.7 lens in great shape Asking Price
40.00 CAD Item Location
Nova Scotia (Canada) Item Description Classic Pentax SMC M 50mm f1.7 lens in great shape.
Glass looks great, no scratches, minor dust inside. Aperture blades are snappy and responsive, and no oil can be seen. The focus ring is smooth, and aperture ring clicks between f-stops crisply.
Here’s a review of this lens. https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-Pentax-M-50mm-F1.7-Lens.html
Comes with a rear cap. I don’t have a front cap but I’ll package very carefully.
Attached are photos of the lens, including a photo I snapped with the lens on a Pentax K-30. Green button metering on manual. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

P30N film camera + SMC Pentax-A 35-70 zoom lens, strap & Pentax black leather case Asking Price
40.00 CAD OBO Item Location
Nova Scotia (Canada) Item Description A classic P30N (also known as P3N) manual focus film camera in very good condition. Comes with a SMC Pentax-A 35-70 zoom lens also in nice shape, a Pentax strap and a Pentax black leather case for the camera/zoom combo.
Camera works well. Clean (spotless inside), no major scratches or bumps, but some scuffing on the back film door. See pics for conditions.
All shutter speeds work, and a roll of film was shot with the camera and I saw no light leaks or causes of concern. Film counter advances well, and depth of preview button also works as it should. Mirror is clean and scratch free.
Lens is clean, free of haze, with a bit of time-earned dust inside. Focus and zoom ring (it’s a one-touch zoom) are smooth, including the macro range of the zoom. Aperture blades are snappy with no oil.
The Pentax P3N/P30N is an upgraded version of the P3/P30 with the addition of Av auto exposure mode to the Program and Manual exposure modes of the predecessor. It has a horizontal split-screen focusing screen.
Case is clean and in good shape.
I really enjoy this camera – I just happen to have two of them. Need to thin the herd a bit – like many of us here, I have more than a few film cameras.
$40 or best offer. This is in Canadian dollars, so a good deal for Americans as the Canadian dollar is low now against the US dollar.
I ship to Canada or the US. I’d find the best price for shipping to your location and let you know. I’ll package the camera & lens well.

I used some two-sided tape that had some thickness to it with a type of foam. Not very high-tech or permanent, but does the trick.

As the grateful owner of Heie's 16-50 lens due to his generous contest a few years ago (I call the lens DA Heieneken), I love seeing this video again. Hope all is well Heie! Your lens is still a trooper - I work for a non-profit environment organization that has outdoor programs including stream restoration and marine waste management, so I've used the lens many many times in bad weather.

Tamron SP 28-80mm f 3.5-4.2 CF Macro BBAR MC zoom lens Asking Price
20.00 CAD or best offer Item Location
Nova Scotia (Canada) Item Description
Hi, I have acquired a Tamron SP 28-80 Tamron zoom adaptall lens – model 27A.
The glass is in great shape. No scratches, haze, fungus, or blemishes of any kind. The metal lens barrel is in very good to excellent shape – I only see one scratch, on one edge of the focus ring.
Focus ring and zoom ring is smooth and working perfectly. Aperture blades are clean and oil free.
Comes with the Tamron adapter for Pentax K mount. It has a Hoya Skylight (1B) filter in good shape (which looks to have always been on, so the lens itself is pristine). It also comes with the original lens case (in good shape), and the original front lens cap (which is a bit scratched up). I don't have the rear cap but will pack carefully and protect it.
I haven’t used Tamron adaptall lenses before so I’m not an expert, but the lens seems to do what it should – accurate exposure reading, smooth zoom operation, macro seems to work. I’ve attached a photo I snapped today to show you what it looks like. I shot this on my K-30, f5.6 I believe. This is from adaptall-2.org: "Optimal optical performance is F/8 to F/11 at all zoom settings, and at these apertures this lens is very sharp. Macro performance is good between F/8 and F/22, but with a moderate drop of contrast in fine details towards the edges of the film plane. This is a very versatile lens ...."
2 ring zoom
Focal Length 28-80mm
Aperture Range 3.5-32, AE
Lens Group/Elements: 8/9
Min. Focus: 0.36m (80mm); 0.9m (28mm)
Macro 1:3.4 (1:1.7 with 01F)
Filter Size 67mm; bayonet fitting for custom hood.
Weight: 480g
length (min): ~ 85mm.
I will pack up the lens well for shipping.
I’m selling it for $35 plus $15 shipping for anywhere in North America. Please note that this is in Canadian dollars – the Canadian dollar is weak right now against the US dollar, so for Americans interested this is an even better deal. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Hi everyone,
The SDM on my 16-50 DA* (well, I shouldn't say mine, I inherited it from Heie in his wonderful Fearless contest a few years back) stopped working. So....I've read about a firmware hack to get it to resort to the screwdrive. I've looked in the forum and found references to a number of cameras, but has anyone done this with a k-30? Obviously I don't want to much around without knowing what I'm doing, so any advice for this lens and the k-30 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I can't say I've used it much, as it's a 'guess the focus' kind of camera. Since I tend to prefer shallow depth of field, I prefer seeing my focus. It's an attractive, medal, small number that I got cheap at a thrift store. I wouldn't spend much on it to be honest, but maybe it's worth more than I know. I'd rather put the money into a Canonette QL17. which is a rangefinder I've used a lot.
cheers

You know, making these lists just highlights that some of us may have a problem. Here's my problem:
Contax 139
Pentax P30N
Pentax SF10
Pentax Spotmatic F
Pentax K-1000
Zenit ET
Praktica Super TL1000
Balda Baldessa II
Canon GIII QL17
Fujica 35-EE
Argus C-Four
Voigtlander Vito CL
Minolta Hi-Matic F
When I shoot film, it's mostly the Contax 139, the Pentax P30n, or the Canon QL17. (I do have a digital camera, a K30.)

Thanks. It wasn't anything special - just Kodak Ultramax 400. I added a bit of contrast and clarity in lightroom but that was it. A few weeks ago I treated myself to a decent scanner for negatives, and that has renewed my desire to shoot mostly film for a while. There really is something about waiting to see what you got that is an anecdote to these times. Happy holidays.

I'd also vote for a P30n/P3n - got one in great shape for 9 bucks at a thrift shop, and I quite like working with it. Combined with an A50 f1.7, it makes for a nice walkaround kit.

Not the most exotic of collections, but I do use all three, especially the P30N with A50 1.7.

I still shoot film sometimes, not just from nostalgia, but because there's few things anymore that don't give you instant gratification and feedback, that make you wait to see what you created. I've joined this kickstarter campaign.

The MX-1 quickly became my always with me street camera, and I'm surprised at the quality you can get out of it. I'm happy with the purchase, and I didn't even get it at the rock-bottom pricing. I've even used it enough to get a touch of brassing!

Hi, a blast from the past. Just wanted to report in that DA Heie-neken (as I call the lens) is doing very well. It recently went on a backcountry camping trip with my son, surviving nicely the sun, rain and a few bumps here and there.
