Hi guys,
Did we ever find a conclusive answer to this? I'm looking to pick up a Cokin kit for my 15mm (probably from Adorama so I can pick up some other bits and pieces like film) and it would be great to get a guide of what to get.

Thanks guys! I'm taking it out for its second outing this afternoon - dusk in the park should be a nice test for f2.8.

Oh, absolutely, but that would require a tripod inside my car which would be an interesting experience to say the least.

Absolutely. I've never had a macro lens before, and especially given the 35mm focal length it really is a one-size-fits-all -- it's so great to be able to get as close as possible.
As far as I'm aware you can't change the red marks - they're a bit pointless for Australian conditions, I would have preferred them at 40kmh and 60kmh (common speed limits)

The versatility of a digital sensor... I also shoot with a pair of Olympus Trip 35s and 400 ASA/100 ASA films - and while they're wonderfully simple (zone focusing, very basic aperture control, two shutter speeds) it's nowhere near as easy and my keeper rate is far lower.

I think the major contributor was the fact that I was sitting back in the car's seat, elbows held against my torso. I often pull off 1/8sec shots with my 15 LTD, but at the moment 1/15sec seems to be the lower threshold for success on my 35 LTD.

Thanks. It was a quick snap with my shiny new 35/2.8 :) Full size JPG here (directly converted from DNG in Lightroom 3.3, with default process settings).

Here you go: Centre Console by campbell.simpson, on Flickr
1/8sec, f2.8, ISO 6400 - about the worst possible lighting conditions! Shot in almost complete darkness, with the only lighting from the LEDs of my car's centre console.
I'd happily upload a DNG of the file, but I'm not sure where to put it - any help would be appreciated.

I think that even with image stabilisation, camera shake might have been an issue!

Yesterday, I picked up a Pentax DA 35mm Limited Macro, after lusting over Flickr contact Xhanatos' shots with it for a long time. I haven't had much of a chance to use it yet but it's very impressive... I love its rendering.
Everything shot on the K-7. When I picked it up I asked the store if they had any K-rs but no luck yet! 00003960 by campbell.simpson, on Flickr

Hey guys!
I've been trawling PentaxForums for a fair while, but haven't made an account up until now. I figured, what with planning to buy a new K-r and whatnot, now was the time...
I have a K-7, a Metz 48 flash and a 15 LTD - that's it. I had a range of zooms and MF primes, but in a fit of minimalism I sold them all off and now have just one camera and one lens. The new K-r is in my sights though, along with a 35 LTD.
I'm a technology journalist with the Australian gadget website GoodGearGuide - I mostly take care of TVs and Home Entertainment products, but occasionally I dabble in a little photography work. The job means I get to play around with all the latest and greatest gear before the public, usually - though generally bodies rather than lenses, and generally Nikon and Canon rather than Pentax, unfortunately!
I take lots of photos, delete most of them, and put the occasional one or two up on my Flickr.
Anyway - I'm keen to contribute around the forums where I can :)
