While I can't find the storage temperature for the K-1, its operating temperature range is -10 to 40C or 14 to 104F. This seems to be a common range on ricoh products, as the theta S has similar operating temperatures (0-40C).
The theta S lists storage temperature as -20C to 60C or -4F to 140F. I would expect Ricoh's listed storage temperature for the K-1 to be similar.
I've had the multicoating on my HTC One M8 fail from leaving it in the car on hot days, so it would be a good idea to keep the gear out of direct sunlight. DSLR lens multicoating might be more durable though, since I haven't had a problem with any of my DSLR lenses (Quantaray/Tamron/Pentax). the gt80 titan has a numpad combined with the touchpad :S not ideal though since it lacks physical keys... kinda ruins the point :\ they should've put a physical numpad where the touchpad is, making it a membrane-key if they need the rest of the depth for hardware, then move the touchpad to a position somewhere above the keyboard :S (since the keyboard has to be positioned at the front due to its depth). kinda silly design since a right side touchpad alienates left hand mousers. I mean a lot of users are just going to use a mouse...

i don't tend to buy things internationally, except for cheap things on ebay, with free super-slow shipping, so i have no personal experience.
google says it can take anywhere from ~ a few days to months :S.
lots of people suggest contacting the seller for the customs number and then calling customs to ask about it.

The i3/i5/i7 all have hyperthreading. The i3 doesn't turbo. The i7 has more cache and slightly higher clockspeeds. the i7 xxxxq is quadcore with hyperthreading.
I would recommend either an i5 dual or an i7 quad-core, since the slight bump in clockspeed/cache on the dual-core i7 isn't worth it unless the price difference isn't significant.
if your budget is high enough:
for photo work I'd recommend looking for something with greater than 1366x768 resolution and an IPS panel
the higher resolution display will help significantly when working with relatively high megapixel images from cameras.
I would also recommend an SSD for general use if the budget is high enough, along with an internal or external HDD for file storage. http://dealnews.com/c49/Computers/Laptops/
dealnews is a pretty good place to search for laptop deals, since they have a section dedicated to them.
There's an Acer for ~$400 and several Lenovo Z-series that are ~$550 that seem pretty nicely spec'd. The Acer will require more RAM though.

woo, don't have any prime lenses yet, and my most expensive lens is my tamron 10-24.
I kind of prefer versatility, since I don't do professional photography.

If you have an internal/storage HDD, you could move your user folders to the storage HDD.
This mostly helps if you keep lots of stuff in those folders.
go to your user folder
right click on the folder (downloads, my documents, my videos, my music, my pictures, etc)
properties
location tab
find a new location or type in the new location (i.e. E:\users\"user name"\videos)
click move
repeat above for folders using up lots of space.
this won't help if most of the space is being taken up by program files.
For reference, I have ~30GB free on my 90GB boot SSD.
~24GB is windows, I've seen the windows folder get up to ~30GB though :\

another one of those etailers that don't know the difference between lenses I guess?

hopefully you guys get the Limited, there was a recent deal where the lens turned out to be the XS, even when store reps EXPLICITLY stated it was the Limited :(. Which makes this not too hot if it's the XS, since the K-01 w/ 40mm XS was selling for ~$315.
The pictures of the product are different :P.
Also, the Limited is metal mount and has quick shift. Both features are arguably not too big a deal, since the focus ring is tiny and close to the camera body (making it somewhat more difficult to manipulate), and plastic mounts are proven to be reliable. Although, the Limited is arguably more pretty to look at than the XS.
As stated above, the XS is lighter and a kit lens to get with the K-01 mirrorless. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/173839-40-xs-vs-da-40-a.html
optically they're supposed to be identical.

is this the auto focus or manual focus version?
too bad it'd probably cost alot to ship to the US :( or i'd consider getting it, as it's the lens the pentax fa 100mm 3.5 is based on
