Thanks guys. The prices are going gagas for these taks on ebay. This is my first prime and 50mm lens I want to get. I have t2i and I don't feel comfortable with a the EF 50mm 1.8 MkII and I have no bones for the USM 50mm 1.4.
Also I love manual focus. I barely use AF (just to test out).
Is $100 for S-M-C tak 50mm f/1.4 in excellent condition a good deal?
Here in New York/Craigslist the prices are $120 for super taks and higher or later and I don't want to bust my dinero (saving for mum's birthday).

I was wondering if that early model of Super Takumar 50mm f1.4 is worth $145. The one with 8 blades and if it is equal to better in terms of sharpness and image quality of the later Super Taks, S-M-Cs, and SMCs.

I will be getting my first prime lens and I want to know which is better. I have a t2i btw. Also how does the super tak match up against these and if the early rare super tak (8 elements) is worth $145. Thank you.

Hi. Looking for A Super-Multi-Coated Tak 50mm 1.4 in very good/excellent condition. No haze, fungus, scratches, oil or whatever please. Needs to be fully functional and no issues.
