Thank you for your comment, Adam. I really like the strange effect of the last one, but you are right, I have to work on this lens: I am not very satisfied with it, but I know that a lot of people thinks that it is a good lens, better than the 2.8 version.

During the last week end I used a Pentax-M 28mm 3.5
I am not very happy with it (but I have to study it, I know that it is a good lens). Yesterday I switched to the 35-70mm by Chinon and I am completely satisfied with it.
Can I see some of your shots with this lens? Do you have some picture in your gallery where you used the Chinon 35 - 70?

:D No, that one is not mine, I just found that picture on the net.
I bought mine from a Polish guy. It's good and complete, but I paid it 20€, it's not so professional.
The shooting are more realistic and less perfect, let's say that :)

I like them all, but I love the first one. The reflection idea is great and the result is marvelous.
You are in the first picture. Is it a tribute to Hitchcock? :)

No, I think you are absolutely right. Higher ISO is bad for the picture quality. I don't think is useful a camera with good performance at high ISO. If I have to shoot in the dark, I need the... easel (?). Is the right word? By the way, this one:
The new pcitures are great, I already saw most of them in your Flickr photoalbum.

These are my first shots with my "new" lens SMC Pentax-M 28mm 3.5 @f8. I hope you find them interesting.
The photos are not very spectacular, but I like the result |

The shot maybe will be better with your advise, but I like that curtain, the shot gets mysterious, I think. :)
Thank you for your comment.

Yes, I am AndyAndreas from Flickr :)
Oh, no, I hope to balance the score soon!;)
But I don't have a nice daughter like yours. And that's probably because I am not even married (I am still young :p )
You are doing a great job. I am not able to get a detail like yours. I need to improve my technique.
It is amazing the resolution you can get from this old lens!
Are you using the lens in other photos?

This photo was taken after a day of rain. The day was also windy and the gull was trying to fly against the wind.
The black that you see is my curtain.
I hope you like it. |

The photo is amazing, thank you for sharing the picture with us.
I have and old Chinon Ce-4s (bought by my father some years ago) and I have two lens: a 50mm 1.9 and a 35-70mm (which is also an amazing macro).
I wanted to buy a Chinon 28mm, but I found a SMC Pentax-M 28mm 3.5 (for 39€, 54$) and it seems very good. Between mine and yours there will be a battle :D
Chinon lens are very interesting.
Again, thank you for sharing this nice example. Great photo.

I have it and I find it very interesting. The Macros are always good and it is very funny for me to shot with this lens.
My father gave me a Chinon Ce-4s and I am very happy that he bought some years ago this lens too.

Hi everybody.
My name is Andreas and I live in Italy. I have a Pentax K-x since August. I usually use a Chinon 35-70mm (which is also a Macro, maybe you already know that). This one is my favorite Lens. I also have the 18-55mm Lens kit and the zoom 55-200.
Yesterday I bought a SMC Pentax-M 28mm 3.5 and I find it very interesting. I used the forum archives to understand if that was a good Lens, so I want to thank every users who wrote a review.
Thank you for your help, I hope to read you soon.
